Toronto had a pretty rough week with record-breaking storms and rainfall, and Drake saw water gushing in his home. His Toronto mansion has been his pride, and the flooded floors do look disappointing. The rapper posted stories on social media, and another rapper, Rick Ross, came running to mock Drake’s condition.

“The Embassy” isn’t as wondrous as perceived

Drake built an uber-luxury place for himself in his hometown of Toronto. His $100 million mansion was supposed to be his biggest pride, which would last forever, and people would remember him through his home when he was gone. The 50,000 sq. ft. house literally has everything that you can dream of.

“I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel” - Drake to Architectural Digest.

Unfortunately, the Embassy, as Drake calls it, isn’t as impregnable as he thought. There have been multiple incidents, including a security guard being shot, an attempted break-in, and at least two cases of trespassing in the last few months. However, the latest event was the record-breaking 100 mm rainfall last Tuesday, as his mansion flooded.

Drake couldn’t contain his disappointment and shared Instagram stories with short videos of his pride being hurt.

“This better be espresso martini” - Drake captioned his post.

Toronto is suffering

You can easily imagine the disaster for the common people of Toronto when a 100-million-dollar celebrity house is flooded. Environment Canada reported that the heavy rainfall was the highest since 1941. Nearly 167,000 people have suffered power outages, and emergency services have had a hard time saving people stuck in elevators in different parts of the city.

A person facing unprecedented difficulties should be shown some sympathy, but that was not the entire case for Drake. Rick Ross, another rapper, took a dig at his condition. He reposted Drake's video, stating “Minor issue” to undermine the situation.

This was basically him getting back at Drake, who laughed at Ross and his entourage being physically attacked at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver. Drake was not happy about Ross playing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” in his concert.

“Now we both on the water”

Adding salt to the wound, Rick Ross commented on the repost to mock the "U My Everything” singer as his mansion is flooded while Ross is chilling in Miami.
