Fake News
On Sunday, March 9, the rapper put up an Instagram post that included the viral TikTok claiming that the rapper had been hospitalized after getting shot in Hollywood and that he was in critical condition. He denied the rumours by writing a caption that said, “Don’t worry I’m gonna make it, because this is fake news!"
The viral TikTok claimed media outlet TMZ as its source of information. However, TMZ’s website and other media handles do not show any piece or information regarding 50 Cent’s alleged hospitalisation.
Fans of the rapper took to the comment section of the Instagram post and on the platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to show relief.
The rumour also compelled many to draw comparisons to 50 Cent being a victim of a shooting when the rapper was shot 9 times from point blank range. The incident had happened in 2000 outside his grandmother's home in Queens when the rapper had not entered the industry.
