Kendrick Lamar’s GNX has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart dated February 22, marking its second week at the top.
Originally available only via streaming and digital download, the album received a significant boost after Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show and the release of physical copies.
It earned 236,000 equivalent album units in the past week, its biggest total since debuting with 319,000 units in December 2024.
A Historic Moment for Lamar
With GNX at No. 1, DAMN. rising from No. 29 to No. 9, and good kid, m.A.A.d city moving from No. 27 to No. 10, Kendrick Lamar is the first rapper and the first living male artist since Herb Alpert in 1966 to have three albums in the Billboard 200’s top 10 simultaneously.
Super Bowl Boost & Sales Breakdown
Streaming contributed 117,000 units, equating to 161.01 million on-demand streams. Physical and digital sales totaled 116,000 units, including 87,000 from vinyl, marking Lamar’s best vinyl sales week. An additional 3,000 units came from track-equivalent sales.
Lamar’s Super Bowl performance also influenced the broader charts. SZA’s SOS moved up to No. 2 with 109,000 units, thanks to a deluxe reissue. The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow fell to No. 3 in its second week with 101,000 units. Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos dropped to No. 4 with 78,000 units.
Other albums in the top 10 include Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess at No. 5, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft at No. 6, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet at No. 7, and Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time at No. 8.
With GNX holding a top-five position for 12 consecutive weeks, Kendrick Lamar continues his dominance on the charts.
