Be it the celebrity cameos, the electrifying performance, or his taking his feud with Drake to the next level, Lamar’s performance had everything it needed to become the most-viewed halftime performance of all time.

Super Bowl LIX

Sunday’s Super Bowl match between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas Chiefs was the most streamed match in the history of the Super Bowl with an average viewership of 126 million as per Fox Sports.

K-Dot, who became the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl Halftime show went on to make history as his performance became the most viewed of all time. With 135.5 million streams, Kendrick not only had more viewers than for the actual Sunday match but also surpassed the legendary 1993 Michael Jackson performance which had 133.4 million viewers.

Halftime performance

Most of the songs performed by Kendrick Lamar for the halftime show were from his 2024 Billboard 200-topping LP GNX. The songs included “Squabble Up,” “Peekaboo,” “Luther” and “TV Off.” However, the song that drew the most attention was his five-time Grammy-winning song “Not Like Us”, taking his epic feud with Drake to a whole new level.

His performance also featured artist SZA for the song “Luther” and celebrity cameos like Samuel L Jackson and Serena Williams.
