Kendrick Lamar and SZA have announced their Grand National Tour for 2025, generating excitement among music fans. They will be performing across the United States and Canada, making this one of the most highly anticipated tours of the year. This tour is particularly remarkable as both artists are at the peak of their careers.

The Grand National Tour: A Major Event for 2025

Kendrick Lamar and SZA, two prominent figures in hip-hop and R&B, are set to join forces for the Grand National Tour in 2025. Fans of both artists are thrilled, as they have eagerly anticipated new music and live performances. Kendrick recently surprised everyone by dropping a new album, “GNX”. Several songs from this album have reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Lamar and SZA have been close friends and collaborators for years, but this is the first time they have toured together. Although Lamar joined SZA on stage during her performances at Coachella in 2016 and 2018, their touring partnership marks a new milestone. SZA signed with Lamar's former label, Top Dawg Entertainment, and since then, they have frequently featured on each other's tracks.
They achieved a significant hit in 2018 with "All the Stars," a song co-written by Lamar for *Black Panther: The Album*, which served as the companion soundtrack for the film. Most recently, SZA contributed to "Luther," and “Gloria” on Lamar's surprise new album, *GNX*.

Kendrick Lamar's in Drake’s Territory

Kendrick Lamar's 2025 tour announcement features a significant performance at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, which is home to the Blue Jays. As one of the largest and most well-known venues in the city, it is generating a lot of buzz not only for Kendrick's concert but also due to its connection to Toronto's hip-hop star, Drake.
Drake has yet to perform at this venue, and given their ongoing rivalry, the event is expected to be a must-watch. It will be interesting to see how Drake handles the comments from Kendrick's fans, as well as how Kendrick performs in what is considered Drake's territory in the music scene. Drake recently filed a lawsuit against Universal Music for falsely promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track 'NOT LIKE US,' which contains comments about Drake.
One user tweeted, "Kendrick Lamar performing in Toronto at Rogers Centre—Drake's gonna have to move over." Another said, "Kendrick's about to show Drake how it's done in the 6ix." These comments highlight the friendly competition between the two artists, both of whom are important figures in hip-hop.
