In an important development, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have attempted to dismiss actor Justin Baldoni's $400 million defamation case. The lawsuit claims slander and extortion as a result of Lively's sexual harassment allegations against Baldoni while filming It Ends With Us.

In response, Baldoni sued Lively and Reynolds for $400 million, claiming slander and that they persuaded his talent agency, William Morris Endeavor (WME), to dismiss him as a client.

Both parties are preparing for their first court hearing, which is planned for February 3, 2025. The trial date is set for March 9, 2026. Judge Lewis Liman intends to merge the lawsuits and will set a deadline for filing the motion. Both sides are not opposed to merging the cases.
