1. 2022 Radford Type 62-2

If there’s one car Jenson Button has raved about the most on social media, it’s the Type 62-2. As a co-founder of Radford, he unveiled the company’s first coachbuilt car since the 1960s, drawing inspiration from the legendary Lotus 62. With only 62 examples ever made, it’s a true collector’s dream. Jenson himself confirmed, “We’re only building 62 numbered cars for sale, but I will have one of the prototypes that we’re currently testing in California.” 

Jenson Button couldn’t hide his excitement for the Type 62-2, saying, “I’m really happy with the way it looks, as well as how it drives. I think we’ve got the proportions right. I love the history behind Lotus, both the road cars and race cars. They make proper drivers' cars. I love the brand and what they stand for.” To make the experience even more special, owners of this exclusive machine were invited to a one-day track event where Jenson himself demonstrated how to push their race cars to the limit.

1956 VW Camper Van

Despite his love for high-speed, performance-driven machines, Jenson Button also had a soft spot for classics—like his Volkswagen Splitscreen camper van. Initially registered overseas, this meticulously restored van was used by Button and his crew to transport team bicycles. Expertly modified by VW specialist Terris Beetles, it received a new engine and suspension during a two-year restoration from 2008 to 2010. Eventually, in 2023, this iconic ride found a new home, selling in the UK for $35,333.

1970 Pontiac GTO

The Pontiac GTO holds a special place in Jenson Button’s heart—it was his wedding ride. As the first true American muscle car, it perfectly reflected his love for raw power and classic design. His impressive Porsche lineup also included a GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, a 1973 2.7 RS, and a Carrera GT, which he eventually sold for an impressive $277,620.

1990 Ferrari F40

Like most car enthusiasts, Jenson Button dreamed of owning a Ferrari since childhood, covering his room with its posters. That dream became reality when he added the legendary Ferrari F40 to his collection. However, like many of his extravagant possessions, he eventually sold it—not because he didn’t love it, but simply because he never had the chance to drive it. Reflecting on its appeal, Button remarked, “There is something about the F40 that really appeals to F1 drivers.”

Another Ferrari in Button’s garage—though not for long! Despite being one of the most coveted models, named after Enzo Ferrari himself, Jenson was surprisingly unimpressed with the Ferrari Enzo and quickly parted ways with it. He bluntly admitted, “I didn’t like it. It didn’t drive very fast, and it had wind-up windows, so I sold it for what I paid for it.”

That said, Button has owned quite a few Ferraris over the years, including the F355 GTS, 550 Maranello, and 275 GTS, proving his love for the prancing horse runs deep—just not for the Enzo!

After years of driving McLarens for his team, Jenson Button got his own—a rare, customized McLaren P1. Just days after winning his F1 championship, he was spotted cruising through Monte Carlo in this 900-hp beast. However, while living in America, he rarely drove it, making the tough decision to sell. Before parting ways, he took it for one last blast at Silverstone WEC.

Finished in MSO Grauschwartz Grey with the rare "Track Mode 2" option, his P1 was a true masterpiece. Jenson summed it up: “It’s the only road car I’ve driven on a circuit that feels good. Most road cars don’t—they’re made for the road, they’re not quick enough, they don’t have the right downforce, mechanical grip, whatever.”

How could one of the fastest hypercars ever made not find a place in Jenson Button’s collection? Of course, it did! He bought one back in 2008 during his World Championship year. However, this speed machine wasn’t all smooth sailing. 

During a circuit run, he faced an embarrassing moment when the car got stuck in neutral, leaving him stranded. On top of that, maintenance proved to be a challenge. Ultimately, with just 1,500 miles on the odometer, he made the tough call to sell it.
