Will Smith Reveals “Zendaya Is Being Approached” For Hancock 2

Will Smith’s superhero movie Hancock might finally see a sequel after 17 years of its release. 

Smith while answering fans' questions on a Twitch livestream made revelations about the movie and also name-dropped Zendaya for a potential role.

Will Smith is no stranger to answering fan questions and live-streaming. As he took to his Twitch livestream to answer questions, he hinted at a sequel for the superhero flick. He says “There’s a really cool Hancock 2 idea”. “We haven’t even talked about it.” 

He went further teasing the fans about approaching a big name. “I’m going to give you one little piece, Zendaya is being approached for a role in Hancock 2.” While the Dune star has not confirmed or mentioned anything regarding Hancock 2, Will Smith’s enthusiasm for the sequel has got the fans going.

Disgruntled Superhero

The 2008 movie “Hancock” saw Will Smith playing a disgruntled superhero with a PR issue. With supporting acts from Charlize Theron and Patrick Bateman, the action flick went on to become a box office hit, earning a massive $629.4 million.

However, this is not the first time a potential sequel for the movie has been in talks. In 2012, director Peter Berg told Comicbookmovie that the cast had all been in talks. “We’re all interested, but we literally just have trouble getting into the same room at the same time.” He also mentioned that producers Michael Mann and Akiva Goldman met Will Smith to workshop an idea.

While there is no confirmation about the original cast and crew returning for the sequel, Hancock 2 will surely end up as one of the most anticipated movies in the coming time.
