Apple has announced a fourth season for the Emmy Award-winning show Ted Lasso, and Jason Sudekis set to return.

Apple’s “Ted Lasso” Renewed For A Fourth Season

The highly acclaimed comedy series is all set for a fourth season as Apple officially announces a return. The show will see Jason Sudekis return as a mustachioed football coach while also serving as an executive producer. 

The series will continue the story of AFC Richmond and their adventures. While announcements regarding the return of other cast members are pending, here is what we know about the fourth season so far.


Ted Lasso Season 4

As Apple officially announced a renewal for season 4, show’s star and executive producer Jason Sudeikis said “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap.’” He adds “in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”

The season will also add  Emmy Award winner Jack Burditt as executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV+. While Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh will serve as writers and producers for season four with Sasha Garron as co-producer, Julia Lindon will write for season four, and Dylan Marron will serve as story editor. 

Sudeikis will star as the lead and will serve as an executive producer along with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel.

Bill Lawrence executive produces via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also serve as executive producers. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kell,y and Hunt, and is based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports.


Emmy-Award Winner

The comedy series first debuted on Apple TV+ on November 1, 2019, and ever since its release, the show has received widespread acclaim. It went on to break all records with first season becoming the most Emmy-nominated comedy series in its first season and landing rare back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys for its first two seasons on air. 

Its release also marked Apple TV+ becoming the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world, and has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut.

While confirmation for their return awaits, the show saw Jason Sudeikis star alongside an ensemble cast including Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, Toheeb Jimoh, Cristo Fernández, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, and James Lance.
