Patrick Schwarzenegger has emerged as a standout in The White Lotus Season 3, playing Saxton Ratliff, the privileged son of a corporate criminal. His performance has drawn praise, but many have questioned whether he landed the role due to his famous father, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Frustration Over Nepotism Accusations

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Schwarzenegger expressed frustration over being labeled a “nepo baby.”

"I know there are people who’ll say I only got this role because of who my dad is," he said. “They’re not seeing that I’ve had 10 years of acting classes, put on school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end, or the hundreds of rejected auditions I’ve been on.”

Despite the criticism, he remains grateful for his upbringing.“Of course, it’s frustrating... but I would never trade my life with anyone. I’m very fortunate to have the life and family that I have.”

His Acting Journey and Inspirations

Schwarzenegger started taking acting classes in high school and has pursued roles for over a decade. His love for acting was influenced by visiting film sets with his father. "Going to set with my dad, that’s where my first love for acting came from," he told People. “I’d watch him go in as Dad, come out as Mr. Freeze."

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Reaction

Arnold attended The White Lotus Season 3 premiere, showing support for his son. He later shared a humorous post on Instagram:

What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
