Bryce James, the second child of basketball legend LeBron James, kicked off the New Year with an exciting announcement about his basketball future.

A Proud Moment for the James Family

Taking to Instagram, the 17-year-old revealed his commitment to join the University of Arizona basketball team. Donning an Arizona Wildcats jersey, Bryce captioned his post, “100% committed,” which pretty much confirms his decision, thrilling LeBron’s fans.

This announcement had been teased back in November itself when Bryce was spotted wearing Wildcats gear in several photos, flaring speculation among basketball fans.

LeBron and Bronny Join the Celebration

LeBron’s eldest son, Bronny James, who recently completed the 2023-24 USC season, joined the celebration. In a supportive comment, he posted a resounding “Yessirrrr” under Bryce’s post on Instagram. LeBron himself, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, expressed his pride on social media.

Sharing the same photos, LeBron wrote, “Bear Down! CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!”, indicating his exhilaration about Bryce's major step.

Bryce's Impact on the Arizona Wildcats

The University of Arizona basketball team joined the excitement, commenting, “Bear Down,” on the NBA legend Lebron’s post. His son’s commitment to the Arizona Wildcats is also seen as a major addition to the James family’s growing basketball legacy.

Standing at six feet four inches, Bryce is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN. Media reports suggest he had offers from several other schools, including Ohio State and Duquesne.

However, his decision to join the Arizona Wildcats strengthens the team’s already impressive 2025 recruitment class, which also includes standout recruit Druce Joyce III.

A Family of History Makers

The James family is no stranger to making history. Earlier, LeBron and Bronny became the first father-son duo in NBA history when Bronny James was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers.

A viral video from their jersey debut in October captured LeBron’s pride as he said, “I don’t have any words. Just super proud of him for getting to this point. He’s a man, and he’s ready to go.”

With Bryce now stepping into the spotlight, the James family continues to solidify its place in basketball history.
