Bernard Arnault reclaimed the world’s third-richest man’s position leaving Mark Zuckerberg behind. This shift comes as LVMH’s shares experienced a surge, only to fall back slightly. Meanwhile, Meta's shares had experienced an exceptional upward trend, which helped support Zuckerberg's brief stay in third place.

A tale of two giants

Mark Zuckerberg briefly held the third spot on the wealth rankings before being overtaken by Arnault. A recent update states that Zuckerberg's net worth rose to $175.5 billion due to a 5.1% increase in Meta shares, a sign of a robust 73% increase in second-quarter profitability.
On the other hand, Bernard Arnault’s fortune, tied closely to LVMH’s stock, saw a temporary decline, allowing Zuckerberg to edge past him. However, the French luxury magnate quickly regained his spot as Meta’s stock movement cooled.

The ongoing billionaire shuffle

The top positions in the billionaires list have seen multiple shifts recently. Elon Musk continues to hold the title of the world’s richest person, while Jeff Bezos follows closely behind. Arnault, with a current net worth of $189.6 billion, has swapped positions with Zuckerberg as the third richest individual, reflecting the instability in their respective industries.
