Elon Musk

Best known as the CEO of Tesla and his recent acquisition of X.com, Elon Musk has been a top runner for the title of the world's richest person for some time now, gaining and losing the title time and time again. Starting off his journey from Zip2, Elon has been at the forefront of, or majorly involved in multiple successful businesses, earning him a net worth of nearly $210 Billion as of now. 

These days, Musk seems fully engrained in SpaceX, Neuralink, Tesla, and XAI, pushing for their advancements as much as possible. 

Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa on June 28, 1971. He was raised by his father Errorl Musk and his mother, Maye Musk together.

• Elon Musk is half South African and half Canadian from his father’s and mother’s side respectively.
• He enjoyed a comfortable and rich childhood due to his family background.
• Since childhood, Musk liked books and has been intellectually curious.

Elon Musk’s family was considerably rich while he was growing up. 

• Elon’s father, Errol Musk was an electromechanical engineer in South Africa. However, his portfolio also included other jobs such as emerald dealer, pilot, and property developer. His mother, Maye Musk (née Haldeman) was a model and dietitian.
• Musk had two younger siblings. His brother Kimbal Musk is a chef and entrepreneur while his sister, Tosca Musk is a filmmaker. Besides that, he also has four half-siblings from his father’s other marriages. 
• Elon Musk’s parents got divorced when he was around nine years old.
• He lived with his father after the divorce but never had a good relationship with him.
• Reportedly, Elon received money from his father’s emerald mine share.
