With the delay in the production stages of A$AP Rocky’s upcoming album “Don’t Be Dumb”, music stores have been sending out cancellation and refund emails to their customers all over the country. A$AP Rocky announced the name of his upcoming album back in December 2022 followed by snippets of the music being released in June 2024.
As per the details revealed by Billboard, the next album will be released sometime during the autumn season instead of its scheduled date of 30th August. The Harlem-based rapper posted a tweet on X (Formerly Twitter) dated 23rd August about how leaks and sample clearances are causing delays on the album release. A$AP Rocky also shared how he had played the entire album for acclaimed director Tim Burton and he was quite positive in his response to the album.

Many of A$AP Rocky’s fans were upset and took to various social media platforms like Reddit and X to talk about how they were receiving emails from music stores informing them about the cancellation and refund of their pre-bookings.
The rapper’s last album was named “Testing” and was released on 25th May 2018. It had 15 tracks with featured rappers like FKA Twiggs, Frank Ocean, French Montana, and Kodack Black among others on some of the songs. “Testing” achieved the 4th position on the Billboard 200 charts and the 3rd position on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Although the album is delayed, A$AP Rocky has not stopped uploading the audio for tracks that will be included in the album. Until now, A$AP Rocky has dropped the audio and video for “Highjack,” which features Jessica Pratt. The video for “Taylor Swif” and the audio for “Ruby Rosary,” featuring J. Cole, are on A$AP Rocky’s official YouTube channel.
