Many former Saturday Night Live cast members are returning to Studio 8H for SNL50: The Anniversary Special, celebrating 50 years of the iconic live show, which debuted as NBC’s Saturday Night on Oct. 11, 1975.


Former Cast Members Return for SNL’s 50th Anniversary

NBC has revealed a lineup of past Saturday Night Live stars set to return for the show’s 50th-anniversary special. Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase, Kristen Wiig, and Will Ferrell will take part in the three-hour event airing live from Studio 8H.

They will be joined by the other SNL alumni, including Amy Poehler, Andy Samberg, Chris Rock, Fred Armisen, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Kate McKinnon, Laraine Newman, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Pete Davidson, Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Will Forte, and more.
Current cast member Kenan Thompson who is also the longest-serving cast member in SNL history, will also appear during the special.


Celebrity Guests Join the Celebration

In addition to former cast members, the event will include appearances from stars such as Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Woody Harrelson.


SNL50: The Homecoming Concert

Before the Sunday special, Peacock will stream “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” live from Radio City Music Hall on Friday, Feb. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the event is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson.

The lineup features a star-studded roster, including Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, David Byrne, DEVO, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Post Malone, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Robyn, The B-52s, and The Roots, with more names to be announced.

SNL 50: The Anniversary Special airs on NBC and Peacock on Sunday, February 16, at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
