Kristen Bell Returns As SAG Awards Host For 2025 Ceremony

Kristen Bell will return to host the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in 2025, her second time in the job. The 31st annual ceremony will be held on February 23, 2025, at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast live via Netflix.

Kristen Bell's Return to Hosting

The actress was the first-ever host of the awards presentation in 2018, when the Time's Up movement was at its apex, and she wore black to the show as a "message of solidarity,". Her first aim in hosting the 2018 show was to underline that "there's no better time to actively be someone else's support system than right now," given the reckoning that was taking place across the industry at the time as stars came together to combat workplace sexual harassment.
Kristen Bell made history in 2018 as the first-ever host of the SAG Awards. Reflecting on her return, she expressed enthusiasm: "I'm thrilled to be back as the host of the SAG Awards. It's an honor to celebrate the incredible performances of my fellow actors."

SAG Awards Executive Producer's Statement

Jon Brockett, executive producer of the SAG Awards, praised Bell's choice: “Kristen's wit and charisma make her the ideal candidate for our presentation. We're delighted to see her bring her own spirit to the ceremony.”

Event Details and Honorees

The 2025 SAG Awards will recognize exceptional performances in film and television. Notably, Jane Fonda will receive the esteemed SAG Life Achievement Award for her achievements to the industry. Nominations for the awards will be revealed on January 8, 2025.

Streaming on Netflix

This is the second year in a row that the SAG Awards will be live streamed on Netflix, allowing a global audience to see the celebration of acting talent.
