In his upcoming Netflix special, Jamie Foxx What Had Happened Was, the 56-year-old actor and comedian claims that he experienced a brain hemorrhage that resulted in a stroke in April 2023. This medical emergency kept him in a coma for 20 days, causing substantial memory loss and physical debilitation.

Foxx suffered a nasty headache while filming Back in Action with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, causing him to be admitted to the hospital. He underwent emergency surgery at Piedmont Hospital, which resulted in a protracted coma.
