Popular Hollywood celebrities Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, once famously referred to as "Brangelina," have finally concluded their lengthy divorce case. The former couple has settled on child custody and financial matters, bringing an end to years of legal battles.

Legal Closure and a Path to Healing

Jolie, who has reportedly been exhausted by the prolonged process, is now focused on healing and finding peace. “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” said Jolie’s lawyer James Simon in a statement to Page Six. He further emphasized that for Jolie, this resolution is more about relief than anything else.

However, court documents reveal that both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have agreed to waive their rights to any future spousal financial support. Nevertheless, specific details of the settlement remain undisclosed, and the agreement still awaits final approval from a judge.

A Love Story Turned Sour

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt first met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith, sparking rumors of a relationship. At the time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston, known for her role in the hit sitcom Friends and romantic comedies. Pitt and Aniston divorced in 2005, which added to the public fascination surrounding Pitt and Jolie’s relationship.

By 2014, the couple took their relationship to the next level, exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony at their picturesque Château Miraval estate in France, a property they had purchased together for 25 million euros. Along with celebrating their union, they launched Miraval Wines further cementing their partnership. However, the relationship took a surprising turn when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Allegations That Shook Hollywood

In the years following their split, disturbing allegations emerged. Jolie accused Pitt of abusive behavior during a private jet flight in 2016, claiming he had physically assaulted her and their children. As per the allegations, Pitt allegedly choked one child and struck another. These disclosures cast a shadow over their breakup, which added another layer of complexity to their divorce proceedings.

Life After the Split

The couple was officially declared single in 2019, but the disputes over child custody and financial matters dragged on until now. Their Château Miraval property, which played a significant role in their relationship, became a point of friction during the negotiations.
Although Jolie's lawyers have confirmed that a divorce settlement has been reached, questions remain about whether it will finally bring an end to the prolonged legal battle over their French vineyard.

Today, Brad Pitt, with a net worth of over $400 million, owns several luxurious properties, including an $8.3 million mansion in Los Feliz and a $40 million estate in Carmel, California. Angelina Jolie, whose net worth is estimated at $120 million, resides in a $25 million home just a few miles from Pitt in Los Feliz.

As they both move on from their shared history, this settlement marks a significant chapter of closure for two of Hollywood’s most iconic stars.
