If you compare Barack Obama's car collection with some previous Presidents and even to to current one, Joe Biden, who used to be his VP, it does not seem extravagant. The only fancy car known to the public that graced his garage was the Chrysler and a Ford hybrid. Furthermore, many of his ex-cars have also been auctioned off on various occasions.
2. 2009 Custom Cadillac “Beast”
Barack Obama doesn't actually own his Presidential car which is called 'Beast'. Every POTUS sits in a custom-made car commissioned by the Secret Service. Obama's Cadillac was customized and was a mixture of several models such as the CTS, Escalade, and others. Even currently, Donald Trump rides the new-gen "Beast" after becoming the 47th President of the United States in 2024.

Obama's Cadillac Beast was worth $1.56 Million. The specs of the cars of course remain a secret. However, reportedly, it weighs up to 20,000 lbs thanks to all the heavy armor around the limousine. and General Motors has opened up about the beast with the caption, “assertive, modern and elegant”.

Even before when he was elected, Obama preferred using the Escape Hybrid SUV as it was more efficient than his Chrysler ride. However, reports indicate that he has already parted ways with this SUV but the exact whereabouts are unknown. It might be sitting in some Presidential collector's special garage. The fact that the Ford model was gaining popularity because at that time the price of petrol was on the rise and the Ford Escape meant a proper solution.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
Barack Obama did own a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited SUV. However, ever since he sold it off. The SUV has been traded in one auction or another. In 2019, University Archives auctioned Obama's Grand Cherokee for $40,000. The auction was held in Wilson town of Connecticut. Before the auction, Barack's black ex-Jeep had run for about 134,404 miles.
2005 Chrysler 300C
Before his Presidential Primary run, Barack Obama frequently used the 300C as his daily driver. In 2012, it turned up on eBay for auction and the seller wanted $1 Million for Obama's Crysler 300C sedan and the starting bid was set at $100,000. However, according to CBS, the car received no bids.
Before switching to the Escape Hybrid, Obama had leased the 300C in 2004. The eBay seller, Tim O’Boyle bought the car from the dealership. Having said, that, the car has leather seats, a navigation system, and 20,801 miles on its odometer.
