The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, is famous for one of the world's most extensive and opulent car collections. His garage features around 7,000 vehicles valued at over $5 billion. It is important to note that, most of the cars associated with the current Sultan of Brunei actually belong to his third brother and former finance minister, Prince Jefri Bolkiah. Sultan's brother embezzled billions from the Bruneian government which forced him to give up a number of his assets which included thousands of cars.

Rolls-Royce: The Crown Jewel of Bespoke Luxury

The Sultan’s love for Rolls-Royce is unparalleled as his Rolls-Royce car collection has already been registered with the Guinness World Record. In the 1990s, he reportedly commissioned Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, for his daughter’s wedding.

Among his rarest acquisitions is the Rolls-Royce Cloudesque, only four were ever made, reserved exclusively for Brunei royalty. The Sultan’s fleet also includes multiple Silver Spurs, some of which were modified with bulletproof glass, extended wheelbases, and even diamond-encrusted trim. Here are some of the noteworthy models from his Roll-Royce collection.

  • Rolls-Royce Phantom IV (1950s, royal-exclusive)

The FX, designed by Pininfarina in 1995, featured a 4.7L V12 engine and a cockpit inspired by fighter jets. Only one exists, and it is valued at over $10 million. Even David Lee would like to have one but Sultan is such a tease.

He also owns a Ferrari 456 Venice, a station wagon variant so rare that even Ferrari’s archives lack its blueprints. Mechanics whispered about a secret vault housing his Ferraris, which were kept in controlled humidity to preserve their carbon-fiber bodies. You might also want to check the following from Sultan's Ferrari collection.
