NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce have just scored a big win, off the playing field, with their podcast named 'New Heights'. Partnering with Wondery, Amazon's podcast studio, the brothers have signed a three-year contract reportedly worth over $100 million.

From NFL chatter to pop culture phenomenon

First introduced in 2022 on Wave Sports + Entertainment, the show "New Heights" was a fan favorite. It revolves around the lives of ex-Philadelphia Eagles center Jason and current Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis. It did not take long for the audience to be captivated by the two brothers' repartee and different perspectives on sports.
However, the show's appeal broadened significantly when Travis began dating Taylor Swift in September 2023. The podcast became a must-listen for Swift's fans, who eagerly tune in for any mention of the singer. This unexpected twist helped the podcast soar in popularity, now boasting over 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube.

A lucrative deal amidst a competitive landscape

The Kelce brothers' lucrative deal with Wondery is part of a larger trend of major podcasts securing significant contracts. "New Heights" now becomes a part of other large-scale programs like Cooper's 'Call Her Daddy' which recently signed a $125 million deal with SiriusXM and "SmartLess" by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, which also signed a $100 million agreement with SiriusXM. These deals underscore the booming podcast industry, where top creators are securing huge payouts for exclusive rights and distribution.

What's next for "New Heights"?

In the new Wondery agreement, episodes of 'New Heights' will be early and ad-free exclusively for Wondery+ subscribers so that fans of the Kelce brothers can enjoy more content. With Wondery's agreement, this show has the potential to reach even higher, adding new mediums, special guest spots, or integrated features. As they gear up for Season 3, Travis and Jason are excited to continue their podcast journey, promising fans more exciting content and unforgettable moments.
