The 67th Annual Grammy Awards at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena hosted by Trevor Noah was stuffed with spectacular performances, poignant tributes, and remarkable comebacks. There were controversial moments like when Kanye and Bianca Censori were escorted out of the event while Will Smith got to stay.

Beyoncé's Historic Win

Beyoncé finally grabbed the most valuable trophy, ‘The Best Album’ of the year for Cowboy Carter, which also earned her the ‘Best Country Album’ award. She reinforced her title as the artist with “most Grammy wins ever” by accepting the award alongside her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. In her acceptance speech, Beyoncé delivered deep gratitude, stating, "I just feel full and very honored. It’s been many, many years."

The award was presented by local LA firefighters, symbolizing the city's strength and unity in the face of raging fires that have devastated California’s Hollywood City. During her win, clips of Taylor Swift and Jay-Z toasting have also gone viral.

Kanye and Bianca Kicked Out of Grammys

Kanye, or ‘Ye,’ which is the rapper’s new name, visited the 2025 Grammys red carpet with his wife, Bianca Censori. Everything was normal, and Kanye and Binance were posing for clicks in their black attire. The reporters and audience went nuts the moment Baince turned around and took off her thick fur coat, revealing a naked sheer dress that exposed her entire body.

Later on, the couple was uninvited and asked to leave.
According to TMZ, an Insider from the Recording Academy claims that “Police and Grammys security never got involved” and the couple left the event out of their own violation. The incident sent platforms like X in chatter, and users started posting memes about the same.

Kendrick Lamar's Turned TV On

Apparently Kendrick’s “Turn the TV Off” was an exception when he was dominating the Grammys. Kendrick Lamar swept the Grammy, securing five awards, including Record and Song of the Year for ‘Not Like Us. After his win was announced, Dr. Dre can be seen celebrating the most. That said, the ‘GNX’ album singer is set to headline the halftime show at Super Bowl 59 with fellow artist SZA who won the Best R&B Song award for 'Saturn'. The duo will also be going on tour in 2025.

The Weeknd's Surprise Return

In a moment that surprised many, The Weeknd made a comeback to the Grammys after his years-long Grammy boycott. He had stopped submitting his music in 2021 for the lack of transparency, according to Harvey Mason Jr. who announced The Weeknd’s performance for the event. He delivered renditions of "Cry for Me" and "Timeless," the latter featuring Playboi Carti.

Will Smith's Tribute to Quincy Jones

Will Smith marked his first major awards show appearance since the 2022 Oscars where he slapped Chris Rock over a GI joke. Will Smith gave a heartfelt tribute to the late Quincy Jones.
He stated, “This past year, we lost one of the most groundbreaking and influential figures of our time, Quincy Jones” and went on to add, “In his 91 years, Q touched countless lives, but I have to say, he changed mine forever.”

The tribute also featured performances by Stevie Wonder, Cynthia Erivo, Lainey Wilson, Janelle Monáe, and Herbie Hancock, celebrating Jones' enduring legacy which included songs like ‘“Fly Me To The Moon,” “Let The Good Times Roll”, “Bluesette”, and “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough.”

Honoring Los Angeles and Its Firefighters

The Los Angeles Fire Department came to the Grammys to thank everyone who supported and recognized their efforts for the wildfire disaster. The event transformed into a telethon, raising over $7 million for wildfire relief efforts, as announced by Trevor Noah. The opening act featured a super band, including John Legend, Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, and Sheryl Crow, delivering “I Love L.A.” a rousing performance dedicated to the city.

Notable Wins and Performances

Chappell Roan was given the Best New Artist award while Doechii made history by becoming the third woman ever to win a Grammy for Best Rap Album. The night also featured a memorable duet by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, who performed "California Dreamin'" in tribute to Los Angeles. The Grammys 2025 also featured performances by Sabrina Carpenter and Charlie XCX.
