The ongoing legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is still getting attention. Now, fellow cast member Brandon Sklenar has shared his thoughts.

While promoting the second season of 1923 on CBS Mornings, he said he wanted the focus to remain on the movie’s message rather than the controversy.

Sklenar Avoids Taking Sides

During an interview on CBS Mornings, host Gayle King asked Sklenar whether he was “team Blake or team Justin.” Instead of choosing a side, he responded, “I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for.”

Sklenar also revealed that the film’s themes are personal to him, as someone close to him has experienced domestic violence, similar to Lively’s character in the movie.

He continued, “It’s unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos of that thing is and it gets convoluted.”

Sklenar’s Past Comments Suggest Support for Lively

Although Sklenar avoided taking a direct stance in his interview, his previous actions suggest he supports Lively.

In December, after Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, Sklenar posted a screenshot of her complaint on Instagram, urging his followers to read it. He also spoke out against the negative social media attacks on Lively, saying that blaming women involved in the project goes against the film’s message.

He said, “Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point.”

Lively and Reynolds Step Into the Spotlight

Amid the ongoing legal battle, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, recently made a public appearance at SNL50: The Anniversary Special. Reynolds appeared to reference the media attention, joking, “I’m doing great. Why, what have you heard?”

Hollywood Reacts as the Lawsuit Continues

Lively’s lawsuit accuses Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, and leading a smear campaign against her. Many Hollywood figures have since expressed support for her, emphasizing the importance of a safe workplace.

Baldoni, however, denies the allegations and has filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds for defamation and extortion. He has also sued The New York Times for publishing details of the lawsuit.

With a trial date set for March 29, 2026, in New York federal court, the legal battle between the It Ends With Us co-stars is far from over.
