Sultan of Brunei’s Aston Martin collection has at least 118 cars. It has extreme rarity like the One-77 to James Bond drives such as the DB5. Furthermore, it includes especially commission projects such as the AM3 and the AM4 as well.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage Special Series

On the request of, Hassanal Bolkiah, four Aston Martin V8 Vantage Special Series I models were produced. The Series I models which include one sedan and three coupes were based on the classic 1961 DB4 Zagato.
Besides that, the Sultan of Brunei and his brother Prince Jeffri also asked the British manufacturer to make Special Series II sedan models.
So far, three such models have been reported with #70508, #70509, and #70510 chassis numbers. Meanwhile, before Series III models were visualized, Sultan and his brother asked Aston Martin to scrap the project.
Aston Martin AM3

In 1995, the AM3 came into existence after a special order by the Sultan of Brunei. Scott A. Barras at Pininfarina Studi e Ricerchi designed the AM3 at Pininfarina and Turin-based Carrozzeria Coggiola built it. It was based on the Aston Martin Vantage 600 and features its chassis.
There are at least three Aston Martin AM3s in the Sultan’s collection. They are in black, charcoal, and red colors. All belong to the 1996 model year.
Even though the AM3 was not sold as a production car, its 1/43 scale model was made by Ban Seng.
Aston Martin AM4

Aston Martin presented AM1 to AM5 rendition to the Sultan of Brunei and his team. However, only AM3 and AM4 were approved.
Details of the remaining ones are with Aston Martin and its client only. That said, the Aston Martin AM4 as one of the notable Brunei cars reminds me of the older DB5 or DB6 models.
He owns three AM4 models, according to the leaks. However, some sources claim he has four AM4s.
Aston Martin One-77

The Sultan is known to own 10 out of 77 units of the Aston Martin One-77, a limited-edition hypercar. The One-77 houses a 7.3L V12 engine delivering 750 horsepower and a top speed of 220 mph. The average value of the One-77 in the auction market is around $1.6 million.
Aston Martin DB7 Models

The Sultan’s collection includes up to 10 Aston Martin DB7 coupes and convertibles. Three coupes have yellow, black, and charcoal colors while one convertible is painted green. That said, in total, Aston Martin only made 7,000 units of the DB7.
Aston Martin DB7 Zagato

The Aston Martin DB7 Zagato was a limited edition version of the Vantage. Only 100 units were made. The Sultan’s collection has two DB7 Zagato units with signature 'double-bubble' Zagato roofline. If you were to put a regular model on sale, it could fetch nearly $189,058 in auctions.
Aston Martin Vantage Models

Dupont Registry claims that the Sultan of Brunei’s car collection has up to 18 Aston Martin Vantage models with the V8 engine. Meanwhile, he also owns five Vantage with the V12 engines. Some models are colored in black, red, and blue and belong to either the 1994 or 1995 model years.
Aston Martin Lagonda

The Lagonda is just another limited-production model in numerous luxury Brunei cars. Only 645 units were ever made and each ran on a 5.3L V6 engine.
Reportedly, the Sultan’s garage has 17 Lagondas. One is a 1973 Lagonda sedan in black while the other is from the 1989 model year and has golden color.
Meanwhile, the Sultan also owns the Aston Martin Lagonda Vignale, a concept car. In 1995, It was sold to him for around $4 million. In 2025, its value is close to $8.2 million.
Aston Martin Vanquish

The Aston Martin Vanquish is famous for being one of the Bonda cars. Although the model year, color, or specs of the car are unknown, at least we know that the Sultan of Brunei’s fleet of cars has six Vanquish models.
Aston Martin DB4

Another one of the British luxuries, the Aston Martin DB4 has managed to pierce its way into Sultan’s car compound. He owns two units of the DB4 with each having an average value of $753,383. That said, one of Sultan’s Aston Martin DB4 with the GT Zagato specs was on auction on eBay in 2014, according to Complex.
Aston Martin DB5

The Sultan of Brunei’s 007 or James Bonda cars make rounds in enthusiast circles. He owns two silver DB5s from 1963 and 1965. That said, the DB5, a car featured in Goldfinger (1964) has quite a demand in the market with each being asked for an average price of $838,568.
Aston Martin DB6

Around 1,788 units of the DB6 were made between 1965 and 1970 and the Sultan of Brunei’s car collection has three of them. One is the 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Volante model with dark blue paint.
Aston Martin V8 Zagato

The Aston Martin V8 Zagato was not mass-produced. Only 57 coupes and 37 volante/convertibles were made. Meanwhile, the Sultan of Brunei owns three units combined from both body styles.
The 1986 Zagato Convertible and the 1976 Zagato Coupe are in black paint while the third one’s details remain private for now.
Aston Martin Virage

The Virage has the highest number of units in the Sultan of Brunei’s Aston Martin collection. He has around 37 Virages in his garage. However, some sources claim he owns only 26 models.
Besides that, some of the Sultan of Brunei’s former cars are up for sale. The Aston Martin V8 6.3 Litre 'Wide Body Virage Volante is being sold by Nicholas Mee and Co. Furthermore, Bonhams is trying to auction a 1999 Aston Martin Volante LWB 2+2 Convertible and asking for $87,000 to $100,000.
One more Virage from 1990 which belonged to the younger brother of the Sultan of Brunei, Jefri Bolkiah was sold for around $30,000 in 2022 by Collecting Cars.
That said, there are other variants of this Aston Martin such as the Virage Lagonda and the Virage Superleggera that exist. Most of them are owned by Hassanal Bolkiah, his brother, and the rest of the Brunei royal family members.
