Simon Philip Cowell, a famous businessman, is a well-known petrolhead. He has been associated with many TV shows picking up young talents and turning them into celebrities. He also has an equally exceptional talent for picking out extraordinary cars for himself and Simon Cowell’s car collection has recently turned over a new leaf. His son has convinced him to turn his attention to EVs and he is doing a damn good job.
Simon Cowell’s not-so-humble beginning
Most car collectors start with a very humble or common-place vehicle focusing mainly on transportation. But not Simon Cowell as he went straight for the legends from the beginning.
3. 1971 Triumph TR6
The Triumph TR6 was SImon's first love. It was sold to him by Classic Chrome on 21st March 1994. He eventually sold the car but was reunited with it on one of the episodes of Britain's Got Talent in 2024. After seeing the car, Simon almost cried and kissed its hood. Recurring judge of Britain’s Got Talent, X Factor, and many more shows, Simon Cowell bought for £10,500, which is £29,175 or $35,912 in 2025.

2. Porsche Speedster 356 A
Another classic from Simnon’s garage is the Porsche Speedster 356 A. The rear-engined open-top Porsche came with a rear-wheel powertrain barely delivering around 55 horses. While accompanied by his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, Simon has been seen driving the same vehicle on multiple occasions.
1955 Porsche Speedster 356 A | Specs |

The exact model year of Simon’s Porsche is yet to be revealed. However, we know that it has an average value of $336,501.
1. 1932 Ford V8 Model B Roadster
Simon is not shy of modifying his car, but the Ford Model B is taken to a new level. The 1932 hot rod is highly customized with black on the sides and glossy red on the top. The white and red rims make this 90-year-old car one of the coolest yet most unusual entries to his garage. Simon’s 1932 Roadster was built by Galpin Auto Sports from California.

Simon’s Fleet of Ferrari
Being a car collector simply means you have a Ferrari at your disposal and you will see as many as 5 if you visit Simon’s garage.
5. Ferrari 360 Spider
The Ferrari 360 Spider is special in many ways, firstly for its design elements and then for its performance. According to Ferrari’s own website, the 360 Spider was the 20th road-going convertible model and it was the best Ferrari till the early 2000s.
2000 Ferrari 360 Spider | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $105,144 |
Powertrain | 3.6L V8 |
Horsepower | 400 hp |
Torque | 275 lb-ft |
Transmission | 6-speed manual |
0-60 MPH | 4.6 seconds |
Top Speed | ~180 MPH |
The 3.6L naturally aspirated V8 roars with pride delivering 400 hp. Simon has it in black and he says its stability at 180 MPH is simply unmatched.
4. Ferrari F430 Spider
The Ferrari F430 Spider was the successor of the Ferrari 360 and it was intended to deliver more power from a larger engine, aside from being one of the most cars of course. Simon Cowell paid about $220,000 for this black convertible which is powered by a 4.3L naturally aspirated V8.
2005 Ferrari F430 Spider | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $118,530 |
Powertrain | 4.3L V8 |
Horsepower | 483 hp |
Torque | 343 lb-ft |
Transmission | 6-speed manual |
0-60 MPH | 4.1 seconds |
Top Speed | >193 MPH |
Simon was in love with this Ferrari so much that people would often find him on the streets cruising in the F430 while smoking his favorite brand.
3. Ferrari California
Simon, at this point, just went on a roll with the Ferraris and bought a Ferrari California. It came with the same 4.3L V8 engine and was a bit quicker than its predecessors.
2008 Ferrari California | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $109,271 |
Powertrain | 4.3L V8 |
Horsepower | 453 hp |
Torque | 385 lb-ft |
Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic |
0-60 MPH | 4.0 seconds |
Top Speed | ~192 MPH |
The Ferrari California is a grand tourer was originally a Maserati project when Ferrari owned the brand. Due to the limitation in overall costing, Maserati stepped back which ultimately resulted in Cowell having another black Ferrari.
2. Ferrari 458 Spider
A fourth Ferrari was bought by Simon in 2012 and it was the Ferrari 458 Spider. He spent around $263,550 on the silver Ferrari and it has been one of his favorites since.
2012 Ferrari 458 Spider | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $206,444 |
Powertrain | 4.5L V8 |
Horsepower | 562 hp |
Torque | 398 lb-ft |
Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic |
0-60 MPH | ~3.4 seconds |
Top Speed | 202 MPH |
The 458, as the name suggests, comes with a bigger 4.5L Ferrari F136 F V8 engine without any forced induction and delivers 562 hp while reaching almost 200 MPH.
1. Ferrari 458 Italia
However, the 458 Spider wasn’t the only Ferrari 458 variant that Simon had in his garage. Just months before buying the soft-top, the AGT judge paid the bill for a Ferrari 458 Italia.
2012 Ferrari 458 Italia | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $268,431 |
Powertrain | 4.5L V8 |
Horsepower | 562 hp |
Torque | 398 lb-ft |
Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic |
0-60 MPH | ~3.4 seconds |
Top Speed | 202 MPH |
There is hardly any difference other than the removable top in these two and given the number of convertibles Simon has, you can tell that he was not a big fan of the all-black Italia.
Simon Cowell’s car collection is the epitome of luxury
Simon goes all in when it comes to sports cars, especially the open-top ones but that doesn’t mean he avoids premium luxury cars. In fact, he shows a very similar attitude towards the more opulent vehicles.
3. Rolls-Royce Dawn
That’s not all, Simon has a more luxurious and more powerful convertible in his arsenal. The black Rolls-Royce Dawn comes with a 6.6L V12 engine delivering 563 horsepower compared to the Azure’s 500 hp.
2020 Rolls-Royce Dawn | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $406,500 |
Powertrain | 6.6L twin-turbo V8 |
Horsepower | 593 hp |
Torque | 620 lb-ft |
Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
0-60 MPH | 4.8 seconds |
Top Speed | 155 MPH |
The Dawn takes a mere 22 seconds to drop the roof giving you the exhilarating thrill of the open-air driving.
2. Rolls-Royce Phantom VII
Of course, Simon Cowell has more than one Rolls-Royce in his garage and the second one is the Phantom model. The cost of a Rolls-Royce Phantom VII starts just below $500,000 and comes with a slightly bigger 6.75L 12-cylinder engine.
2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom VII | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $380,000 |
Powertrain | 6.7L V12 |
Horsepower | 453 hp |
Torque | 531 lb-ft |
Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
0-60 MPH | 5.7 seconds |
Top Speed | ~150 MPH |
The X-Factor mentor has often been seen cruising the city streets with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman in both of his Rolls-Royces.
1. Mercedes-Benz SL500
Let’s dial down the luxury for a bit as the Mercedes-Benz SL550 is obviously not in the same league as Rolls-Royce or Bentley. The silver convertible has enough practical features for a $87,000 price tag but if we are being honest, this is not a practical car per se.
2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500 | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $87,000 |
Powertrain | 5.0L V8 |
Horsepower | 302 hp |
Torque | 339 lb-ft |
Transmission | 5-speed automatic |
0-60 MPH | 5.8 seconds |
Top Speed | 155 MPH |
The SL550 is more like a statement when you roll up in it in front of your workplace - is it too hard to believe that Simon wanted just that?
Simon’s racing DNA
An automobile enthusiast like Simon Cowell does not just collect cars for show-off. Simon is an avid driver and he has his fair share of burning rubber on the tracks.
Caterham 7 CSR
Simon also has a Caterham 7 CSR which is not a racecar by definition but it is so by character. The Caterham CSR is actually a highly modified Caterham with the body of a Caterham Super 7.
2013 Caterham 7 CSR | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $87,000 |
Powertrain | 2.4L Inline-4 |
Horsepower | 260 hp |
Torque | 199 lb-ft |
Transmission | 6-speed manual |
0-60 MPH | 3.1 seconds |
Top Speed | 155 MPH |
He got the kit car back in 2013 and immediately took it for a spin dodging the traffic at Beverly Hills.
Simon has a special Jaguar
The Jaguar Eagle Speedster is probably the most special car from Simon Cowell’s car collection and there are two big reasons. The Speedster was a gift to himself for becoming a father and he was even seen taking his girlfriend and treating her the whole day.
1965 Jaguar Eagle Speedster | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $1 million |
Powertrain | 2.4L Inline-4 |
Horsepower | 260 hp |
Torque | 199 lb-ft |
Transmission | 6-speed manual |
0-60 MPH | 3.1 seconds |
Top Speed | 155 MPH |
The Jaguar Eagle was originally a 1965 Jaguar E-Type which was completely restored by Sussex-based restoration company Eagle in 2014. Simon took to Twitter thanking the Eagle team for the exquisite ride. Simon was also present during the launch of the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe in the same year but he didn’t get one for himself.
Simon likes to show off
What is the point of a celebrity who has a ton of exceptional cars but does not disclose them, right? But Simon Cowell’s infatuation with cars is on a different level as he sometimes buys cars but then rarely drives them.
8. Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is another fascinating convertible from Simon’s car collection. However, judging by the number of times we have seen him actually driving the Lambo, it is safe to say that he is not as big of a fan as he is of his other open-top toys. Since he has been hardly captured on cam in the driver's seat of the Gallardo.
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $187,600 |
Powertrain | 5.0L V10 |
Horsepower | 512 hp |
Torque | 376 lb-ft |
Transmission | 6-speed manual |
0-60 MPH | ~3.9 seconds |
Top Speed | 196 MPH |
The exact model year and other details about Simon Cowell's Gallardo are unavailable at the moment. That said, the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder has an average auction value of $107,588.
7. Lamborghini Urus
Simon also has an SUV from the same brand and it’s one of the most luxurious and expensive SUVs with an exceptional driving experience. However, the businessman is not often seen riding his 2018 Lamborghini Urus as he hardly gets any time from cruising in his luxury convertibles.
2019 Lamborghini Urus | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $187,600 |
Powertrain | 4.0L twin-turbo V8 |
Horsepower | 641 hp |
Torque | 627 lb-ft |
Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
0-60 MPH | 3.2 seconds |
Top Speed | 192 MPH |
Simon's Urus has black paint like many of his other cars. He was captured driving it first in 2018 which means that he got his hands on this performance SUV in its debut year. He would have paid a minimum of $200,000. However, knowing Simon's taste, we are sure that he bought all the available options.
Simon learned about climate change
Simon's son, Eric Cowell deeply cares about the environment and is concerned about climate change and global warming. He is the one who made Simon aware of the drastic effects of gas-guzzling luxury and sports cars.
6. Tesla Model X
The petrolhead listened to his son and got himself a Tesla a few years ago. He was not a fan of the Tesla's electric SUV but after flooring the accelerator, Simon knew he wanted the car. Furthermore, the Model X was added to Simon Cowell's car collection before his Mini came into the picture.
2018 Tesla Model X Performance | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $104,990 |
Powertrain | Dual-electric motor |
Horsepower | 762 hp |
Torque | NA |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | 3.4 seconds |
Top Speed | ~155 MPH |
In 2019, Simon had Yianni Charalambous from Yianni: Supercar Customiser wrap the black Tesla in chrome red. However, when Simon saw the car, he said that he loved it.
5. Everrati Porsche 911 (964)
Simon has a second Porsche in his garage and much like the Tesla it also has a bright red exterior. But that is not the only similarity the two have.
Everrati Porsche 911 (964) | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $311,274 |
Powertrain | electric motor(s) |
Horsepower | NA |
Torque | NA |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | ~4.0 seconds |
Top Speed | NA |
The Porsche, originally a 911 (964), has been turned into an all-electric vehicle. Everatti, a company known for restoring cars and delivering them bespoke did an excellent job on Simon’s ride.
4. Kahn Smart car
The Smart Fortwo is not one of Simon’s recent conquers; he had it well before his son was born. It is a specially customized car by a UK-based tuner, Project Kahn owned by designer Afzil Khan.
Kahn Smart Fortwo | Specs |
---|---|
Price | NA |
Powertrain | electric motor(s) |
Horsepower | NA |
Torque | NA |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | NA |
Top Speed | NA |
In 2012, Simon Cowell was spotted coming out of the CBS studios in the night while driving the Kahn Smart Fortwo which runs on custom 17-inch wheels.
Simon’s Buzz, Mouse and Flea
However, Simon Cowell’s fleet of electric cars does not end here as he has three very special models he calls Buzz, Mouse, and Flea.
3. Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The Buzz or the Volkswagen ID.Buzz is a minivan that the celebrity maker got somewhere around 2023. The VW van didn’t officially arrive in the US back then but he got it anyway for £58,915 (approx. $79,600).
2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz Pro S Plus 4Motion | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $69,545 |
Powertrain | Dual-electric motor |
Horsepower | 335 hp |
Torque | NA |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | 5.5 seconds |
Top Speed | 101 MPH |
The mint green ID. Buzz offers an ample amount of advanced features with an admirable range making it a practical choice. Besides that, the exact model year or specs of Simon Cowell's Volkswagen is not known. The table shows the details of the Pro S Plus 4Motion which is being sold in the US.
2. Mini eMastered
The Mouse is the most special among the three as this is a restored and modified Mini Cooper. David Brown Automotive has modified the classic Mini, and it is called Mini eMastered or ReMastered. The powertrain, specially commissioned by Simon Cowell, has been replaced with an electric one. It also makes him the first owner of the Mini Electric. It was always on his wishlist to buy a Mini car and when Simon finally got it, he claimed that of all cars he had had in his life, the “Mini eMastered” was his favorite. He goes on to say that he will never sell this Mini.
2019 Mini eMastered | Specs |
---|---|
Price | ~$152,000 |
Powertrain | electric motor |
Horsepower | 97 hp |
Torque | 129 lb-ft |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | NA |
Top Speed | NA |
The interior has white leather while the exterior is burgundy with yellow stripes and “Turbo” decals on the side paying homage to the Esprit Turbo used in the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only”. He has also done an exclusive video interview with David Brown Automotive's Youtube channel with Formula E presenter Nicki Shields. That said, the car has a WLTP range of 110 miles.
1. Fiat-Abarth 500e
Finally, the Flea is the Fiat-Abarth 500e which is less expensive than the previous two. The 500e is a compact car, much like the Mini and it comes in Ocean Green. Simon showed off his newest possession on Instagram along with the VW and Mini.
2023 Fiat-Abarth 500e | Specs |
---|---|
Price | $42,918 |
Powertrain | electric motor |
Horsepower | 155 hp |
Torque | NA |
Transmission | 1-speed direct drive |
0-60 MPH | ~7 seconds |
Top Speed | 96 MPH |
Though the electric Fiat does not offer a power-packed performance, the three together definitely take Simon’s collection to the next level.
Simon Cowell’s Former Cars: Auctioned/Sold/Driven
4. 1977 Ford Bronco
Simon Cowell’s car collection used to have a custom 1977 Ford Bronco model. He auctioned it through Barret-Jackson for $86,900 in 2020. The modified Bronco was powered by a 340 horsepower making 4.9L V8 engine connected to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It was also equipped with James Duff springs and Wilwood brakes. Besides that, from Kelly Clarkson to Hugh Jackman, a range of global celebrities own the first-gen Ford Bronco.
3. Bentley Azure
Simon Cowell sold his black Azure in the same 2020 Scottsdale auctioned organized by Barret-Jackson which also saw the transaction of his custom Bronco. The final bid was raised to $123,200. That said, Simon’s Bentley Azure convertible grand tourer was powered by a 6.75L twin-turbo V8 engine mated to an automatic gearbox made 450 horsepower.
2. Mitsubishi Evo VII Race Car
Simon suited up in proper gear and gave the Mitsubishi Evo VII Race Car a go at 'Speed Sunday' 2004 in Enstone Circuit in Oxon, Oxfordshire. Furthermore, with his driving skills and experience with different TV shows, people would have loved him as Top Gear host after Jeremy Clarkson was fired. Note that, he has driven the car but he doesn't own it.
2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4
Take the Bugatti Veyron for example, Simon bought it for $1.6M in 2008 and on the Ellen Show hosted by Ellen Degeneres in 2011, he admitted to driving it only twice in three years. On the talk show, he revealed how he bought the car. When Simon entered the dealership, he claimed that the car talked to him. The next after talking to his friend, Cowell bought the car. He also thinks it is the most beautiful car. In 2014, Simon Cowell finally auctioned his Bugatti Veyron through Barre-Jackson for $1,375,000. Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, promoted the car for sale.
Simon Cowell’s other TOYs
Simon's collection of “toys” doesn't necessarily end with his cars as he has a few more noteworthy possessions.
Private Jet
It is no surprise that a business mogul like Simon Cowell with a net worth of $200 million would have a private jet. But he doesn't keep it for just himself. Back in 2012, Simon learned that a crew member of his team was going to be a father but was unable to reach his wife. Simon made sure that the team member flew there and was by the newborn and the mother when they needed him.
Electric Bicycle
Simon also has an electric bicycle that he often takes out for a fresh breath of air. Recently, we have seen him using the bicycle quite a few times and it is probably because of his son. Simon calls the cycle “Spitz” and he even showed it off alongside his “Buzz, Mouse, and Flea”.
