Ex-BBC Top Gear Host Jeremy Clarkson’s Car Collection Is Something To Look Out For!

Jeremy Clarkson's car collection is as legendary as the man himself. Known for his outspoken personality and love for all things fast and powerful, Clarkson's garage features an eclectic array of vehicles that reveal his unique taste in automobiles.

From luxury icons like the Bentley Flying Spur to rare classics like the Mercedes-Benz 600 Grosser, each car tells a story of Clarkson’s passion for speed, craftsmanship, and even a touch of British charm with his classic Mini. 

Similarly, another Englishman Jason Statham also has a thing for British cars. Talking about Clarkson's personal car collection, which spans over 20 cars, most of which have been sold now. Some celebrities sell most of their cars over time to make space, fund new projects, or just donate them. 

4. Bentley Flying Spur 

Being a true British gentleman, Clarkson’s love for British automobiles is beyond anything else. He once reviewed this car on the show and loved it to the core. He stated, “You get astonishing smoothness and silence coupled with insane power.” 

Well, being a man of his words, he bought the 2020 Bentley Flying Spur for himself. The ex-BBC Top Gear host won’t settle for less, and it’s highly probable that he opted for the higher-performance version. He was spotted getting out of this green beauty recently.

3. Classic Mini Cooper

Well, this one’s quite special for Jeremy. It was gifted to him by his daughter Emily Clarkson on his 61st birthday. He was overwhelmed at first and called her daughter “stupidly generous.” 

The red beauty is as eye-catchy as the new owner himself. It even flaunted number 27 on the doors, but his fans were more concerned about ingress and egress for a man of his height. 

2. Range Rover Vogue SE

It won’t be possible for Clarkson to travel every day in a Flying Spur or even the “mini” Cooper, for that matter. So, he opts for a 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE. It’s one of the best cars ever owned by him. 

In a show called Clarkson's Farm, he mentioned the USPs of this car and how it’s his “everyday” car for commuting. He clocked close to 85,000 miles on the same car, and that speaks volumes of his love for this car. 

1. Mercedes 600 Grosser LWB

Jeremy Clarkson is a true petrolhead, but he also has class, which brings us to his next car, the Mercedes-Benz 600 Grosser Pullman. Dubbed the precursor of the modern-day Mercedes-Maybach, the 600 Grosser was a luxury on wheels.

Not only that, the old-school Mercedes-Benz, where everything uses hydraulics rather than electronics, made Clarkson pick one for himself. The very same model is also part of Mr. Jay Leno’s garage, and now we know why.

Jeremy Clarkson has always had a love-hate relationship with Porsche 911s. Despite that, he is known to have owned a Porsche 911, the 2013 model, with a longer wheelbase which improved stability and allowed for a more spacious cabin.

Ferrari F355

Jeremy Clarkson and Ferrari are two things that won’t see eye-to-eye. When it comes to Italian cars, Jeremy always preferred Lamborghini over the prancing horse, but to everyone’s surprise, he once owned a Ferrari F355 finished in Ferrari red, although he wanted it in green.

The car was his first big-ticket purchase at that time, but in today’s money, you can get one for an average price of $86,322. That said, Jezza soon regretted his purchase of the F355 GTS, as the car would attract a lot of attention from people as well as cops. This eventually forced him to sell the car.

BMW M3 CSL

Jeremy Clarkson has a certain distaste for Porsches, and when Hammond opted for a Porsche 911 Carrera, Clarkson picked the BMW M3 CSL, the other best lightweight sports car. Not only that, Jezza was so impressed with the BMW that he drove it on the Isle of Man. Clarkson ended up selling it for around $4,000, which he deeply regrets because the estimated value of the BMW M3 CSL is around $200,000 these days.

The BMW M3 CSL is one of the iconic car made by BMW, it was initially made for homologation special for the European Touring Car Championship and only 1,265 cars were ever made. As the name suggest "Competition Sport Lightweight" the car featured thinner steel panels and the doors and hood were made from aluminium to save weight.

Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series

The Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series was brought by Jeremy in 2007. The car was perfect for Jezza’s liking, but it soon started giving him trouble. The final nail in the coffin was when the battery in the car died and it refused to start. Thus, he sold the car, and reports say that he was able to strike a good deal without losing much in depreciation.

The Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series previously owned by Jeremy Clarkson was powerhouse featuring a nasty V8 under the hood. One of only 25 right hand drive vehicles that made it to the Britain, the new owner indeed now has a special car in his garage. 

Bentley Continental GT

The Bentley Continental GT seen above was purchased by the team of The Grand Tour for filming an episode in Madagascar. The team took the stately grand tourer and heavily modified it with lift kits, a roll cage, snorkels, off-road tires, and other accessories to convert it into an apocalypse machine.

After the filming was done, Jeremy Clarkson, impressed by the Bentley, kept it and has been seen driving it around his farm for sometime. Anyways, as it was just a prototype it had to be destroyed after its purpose was fulfilled. Finally, it was sent back to Bentley and they kept it in a glass case in Crewe factory. 

Aston Martin Virage

The Aston Martin Virage is a rather uncommon name in the British luxury sports car maker's portfolio. The Virage wasn’t able to impress many car buyers, but Jeremy Clarkson was impressed by it and got one for himself. Although he is no longer seen in one or around it. So, it's probable that he has sold this one too. 

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster was purchased by Jeremy Clarkson in 2011. Soon he was spotted enjoying the topless beauty while driving in Notting Hill. Aside from that, the Jezza has been spotted driving in it several times when the weather permits.

This is again contrary to one of his famous lines that old men shouldn’t drive in a convertible with the top open. However, Clarkson was not spotted driving it again and it's highly probable that he sold it after a few years. 

Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Those who have watched BBC's Top Gear know that Jeremy Clarkson is a huge Lamborghini fan. Although he had the luxury of driving several Lamborghinis on the show he picked a Gallardo LP560 Spyder for himself.  

In 2011, Jeremy Clarkson's gray Gallardo Spyder with striking orange seats was listed for sale again. The car’s second owner set the price at $145,000, though it was originally manufactured in 2007 and sold a year later by Clarkson. 

McLaren 675LT

Rumor has it that Jezza snagged this McLaren 675LT after inking a multi-million-dollar deal with Amazon Prime for The Grand Tour. Delivered in a bold, eye-catching orange, this McLaren stirred curiosity. 

Some claimed it was merely a test car, while others speculated it was a gift from Amazon itself. Was it a purchase, a loaner, or a generous gesture? Honestly, only Jeremy knows the real story!

2005 Ford GT

The 2005 Ford GT holds the title as the priciest car Jeremy Clarkson ever owned. Captivated by its design and power, Clarkson impulsively bought one as soon as Ford launched the model. 

However, he quickly discovered that the GT's tight ergonomics didn’t quite suit his tall, sturdy frame, and frequent electrical issues added to the frustration. True to form, Clarkson returned the car—only to buy it back later! Yet after a few years, Jezza had to part ways with his beloved GT.
