Here’s a look into Sergey Brin's Humble Car Collection

Sergey Mikhailovich Brin, the Russian computer scientist who, along with Larry Page, changed the way we browse the internet today. After launching Google officially in 1998, both Brin and Page went on to gain nothing but success, continuously evolving the internet day by day. While both of Brin’s parents were immigrants, Brin’s father was a retired mathematics professor and his mother was a researcher at Goddard Space Flight Center, now we know where Brin got his big brains to develop something huge as Google. After the massive success, Brin has an estimated net worth of a whopping $77 billion, making him the 12th richest man on earth. Despite being quite wealthy at present, Brin doesn’t have a jazzy car collection and he likes to donate to charity. Let’s take a look at the tycoon’s humble garage.

4. Toyota Prius

Much like Brin himself, the Toyota Prius revolutionized the hybrid vehicle market after its launch. Even though there are similar or better options than the Prius out there, it still enjoys a commendable position in its class.

As an inexpensive and fuel-efficient daily driver, the Prius becomes a preferable option for shoppers looking for an affordable daily driving vehicle. It is surprising to see a guy worth billions of dollars like Brin actually have the Prius in his garage.

The Toyota Prius is powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of an electric motor and a 1.8-liter I-4 motor. The combined power output stands at 121 hp and the motor uses a CVT unit to channel its power to the wheels. Being a fuel-efficiency-focused car, the Prius has a rather leisurely 0-60 mph sprint time of 10.5 seconds and the top speed is set at 106 mph.

3. Audi A6

The Audi A6 has always been a practical and elegant luxury sedan since its launch. While the A6’s design stands out from the crowd its performance, features, and comfort is at a similar level to its rivals.

Moreover, the rear seat of the sedan is sometimes regarded as one of the best in its class as well. Considering Brin’s wealth, the A6 is a rather cheap car for him yet, he has one in his garage.

The Audi A6 gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission. Given the sedan’s size and class, the motor might seem weak; however, it puts out a healthy 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The sedan completes the 0-60 mph sprint within 5.6 seconds and gets its top speed limited to 155 mph.

2. Lincoln Navigator

The Lincoln Navigator has been an icon of full-size luxury SUVs from an American brand, and it still fights it off competently with similar or pricier segment rivals. Primarily being a truck-based SUV, the Navigator surprises with its impressive ride quality, and the latest version of the vehicle can move quite fast irrespective of its heft.

The SUV gets an attention-grabbing exterior design with plenty yet tastefully-placed exterior chrome details. Since Brin is not a fan of having showy cars, it seems the Navigator serves his purpose while he wishes to travel in comfort. The SUV cost him around $76,185 at the time of purchase.

With the 10-speed automatic unit, the powertrain is capable of belting out 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. Not only that, it is capable enough to make the SUV sprint from 0-60 mph within 6.1 seconds as well!

1. Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S came out at a time when electric vehicles were hardly popular, but Elon Musk changed the EV market with the sedan. Soon after launching the Model S, high-performance versions of the car followed and the next big thing was the advanced autopilot system of Tesla.

Currently, no other mass-production electric vehicles offer a driving range as the Tesla Model S or can match the acceleration prowess of the Model S Plaid as well. Sergey also has a Model S in his garage, and it is the most expensive one as well.
