Despite this, some standout highlights of his garage include Ferraris, McLarens, Lexus, and Acura vehicles. His passion for cars surpasses that of his former Google partner, Sergey Brin.

1. 1995 McLaren F1

The 1995 McLaren F1 had been the crown jewel of Larry Ellison’s car collection. The car has aged like a fine wine and comes finished in Magnesium Silver paint. The interiors of the supercar comes finished in black. Larry acquired this automotive marvel around the mid-90s when Oracle was sponsoring McLaren’s race team in F1. It had the chassis number 062 and was one among the few that got delivered in the United States. Larry owned the car for over a decade before putting it up for auction. 

The car sported a California number plate and was titled and certified for use in California, further increasing its value. Gooding & Company put it up for auction in 2010 during Pebble Beach weekend. Here, it fetched a jaw-dropping $3.6 million. At the time of the auction, it had less than 3,500 miles on it.

2. Lexus LFA

Larry Ellison is said to own a white Lexus LFA. He has been spotted several times behind the wheels of the white Lexus. The ownership claim of the LFA was confirmed when Ellison during one of his interviews with WSJ claimed that his favorite car lately has been a white Toyota, referring to his white Lexus LFA. 

The ownership of a Lexus LFA is driven by its exclusivity and rarity. With only 500 units produced from 2010 to 2012, the LFA stands out as one of the most coveted supercars in the world.

In 2012, the Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison was reportedly spotted driving his Lexus LFA in the San Francisco Bay Area. The car was seen coming out from Oracle’s headquarters exit gate, according to a report by Business Insider.

3. Audi R8

Audi R8 is another automotive marvel in Larry Ellison’s car collection. Larry has been spotted driving the silver R8 while going to his gym as reported by Gawkerarchives websites. However, it is not clear whether Larry still holds the car or has sold/auctioned it. Also, it isn’t clear how Larry ended up getting himself an R8. Another co-founder of Google, Sergey Brin, also has an Audi in his car collection, but it’s not the R8, as you might guess. Instead, he is known to own an Audi A6.

But if we were to draw a parallel tech billionaires in Silicon Valley seem to have a penchant for the R8, as Michael Bloomberg also owns one. It seems like Robert Downey Jr. character in Iron Man driving his Audi R8 to catch a flight in his private jet has caught the attention of these billionaire gentlemen.

4. Acura NSX

Larry Ellison is not only a big fan of Acura NSX but also has been one of the prized customers of the brand. It is reported that after being fed up with his Ferrari catching fire, Larry started looking for something more reliable with a similar level of performance. This is when he came across this Japanese masterpiece. One test drive in the NSX led him to buy one for himself.

Several sources reveal that Larry himself owned a red Acura NSX but he didn’t stop there. Every year between 1990 and 2005, when the car was in production, he would buy a few of them to gift to his close friends and top-performing employees at Oracle. Over 15 years, he accumulated a collection that included seven NSXs, particularly favoring the 1996 NSX-T model.

5. Lexus LS 600h L

Larry Ellison owned a silver Lexus LS 600h L which he used to drive to the office. Most of the time he would self-drive his cars and his reserved parking spot at Oracle headquarters featured this humble Japanese luxury sedan for quite some time.

6. Ferrari Enzo

Larry Ellison owns a red Ferrari Enzo. Ellison's experience with Ferrari was mixed. He previously owned a Ferrari Testarossa, but he encountered issues with it catching fire, which led him to seek more reliable alternatives. Despite this, he still acquired an Enzo.

Starting in 2002, Ferrari built 400 examples of the Enzo, and notable owners have included Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher, Eric Clapton, and even Pope John Paul II.

7. Shelby Cobra All Billet Aluminum

Apart from the above luxury and high-end cars Larry Ellison is also a proud owner of this one-of-a-kind custom-built Cobra roadster. The Cobra was specifically designed for Ellison by Kirkham Motorsports. The entire frame of the Cobra is constructed from various billet aluminum substructures.

The body panels were crafted in a former airplane factory in Poland, utilizing traditional panel-beating techniques. Each panel is gas-welded and hand-filed to ensure smooth seams and a flawless finish. The car features a polished aluminum exterior, giving it a distinctive look that differs from traditional chrome finishes. 

8. Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible

Larry Ellison owns an orange color Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible. In October 2022, Ellison was ticketed while driving his C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible on his private island of Lanai in Hawaii. He was pulled over for running a stop sign and speeding on Manele Road. 

As per Hawaii News Now, the billionaire was stopped on Manele Road around 6:30 p.m. local time in October 2022. The body camera footage showed Larry Ellison in a C8 Corvette. The police officer over there informed Ellison that he was pulled over for running a stop sign and speeding. However, responding to them, Larry Ellison said, ''he was on his way home for dinner with his kids, but added “There’s no good excuse.”

9. Ferrari Testarossa

It is said that Larry Ellison’s entry into the owners’ club of Ferrari started with the Testarossa. In the 1990s, Ellison was often seen driving a red Ferrari Testarossa. However, his experience with the vehicle was marred by reliability issues; he reportedly faced multiple instances where the car caught fire. 

These incidents led to significant frustration and ultimately influenced his decision to move away from Ferrari as a brand. Ellison's troubled ownership of the Testarossa played a crucial role in his eventual shift to the Acura NSX.

Larry Ellison’s impressive aviation collection includes a decommissioned Soviet MiG-29 fighter jet and an Italian SIAI-Marchetti S.211, reflecting his passion for unique aircraft.
