Larry Bird was born on December 7, 1956, in West Baden Springs, Indiana. Bird is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Larry’s impact on basketball is undeniable, his style of play was characterized by his shooting skills, court vision, game sense, and toughness. He was also famous for his clutch performances in high-pressure situations and his ability to make his teammates better. Bird was a 12-time NBA All-Star and won three consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player Awards from 1984 to 1986. He was also a two-time NBA Finals MVP and won gold medals at the 1992 Olympics and the 1978 FIBA World Championship.
