NBA GOAT Michael Jordan’s Car Collection Has A Value Around $8 Million

Michael Jordan’s garage suits his status as one of the richest athletes in the world. 

However, in his net worth of $3.5 billion, MJ’s car collection contributes less than $10 million. Nonetheless, he owns fire-breathing monstrous cars such as the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster which alone costs nearly $3 million.

Michael Jordan’s car collection also features a couple of Ferraris, a McLaren SLR, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and more. If compared, Jordan owns way more fancy cars than his NBA rival Magic Johnson.

15. Chevrolet Corvette C4 ZR-1

A big part of the C4’s sales and stardom goes to Michale Jordan. Rigger after college, MJ signed his first endorsement deal in 1984 with Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana Chevrolet dealers. 

After joining the league, he was spotted driving Corvettes everywhere. Eventually, years passed by and the Chevrolet Corvette C4 ZR-1 managed to stick by his side. 

The model Jordan has is a rare Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Edition Corvette ZR1. Only 448 units came out of the factory in 1993. The car is also famous for its appearance in the ESPN documentary, The Last Dance.

14.1991 Toyota Land Cruiser J80

It looks like Mike Jordan broke up with his eternal love for Land Rover and started flirting with Toyota. And the most abiding decision he made was to bring the 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser J80. The full-size SUV has a commendable road presence, and many celebrities still believe that the Land Cruiser belongs to an altogether separate class of people.

The J80 series was a turning point for the Land Cruiser since, from then on, it witnessed greater appeal and existence than ever before.

13.2006 Cadillac XLR-V

When you are an extremely famous personality, a brand named Cadillac sent him three 2006 Cadillac XLR-V cars in three different shades. There were infrared, Black Raven, and Silver Platinum.

He chose the Infra Red to reminisce of his glory days with the Chicago Bulls. It was a two-seater luxury convertible that was enriched with powerful engine options and everything that one would want inside it.

12. 1996 Mercedes-Benz W140 S600 Lorinser

The 1996 Mercedes-Benz W140 S600 coupe, finished in dark green, was Michael Jordan’s earliest Mercedes-Benz. The car was worth $133,300 back in the day, and it still survives in MJ’s garage. It is reported that MJ got some tasteful modifications added to the Mercedes-Benz in the form of 18-inch chrome Monobloc wheels, a widebody kit, custom dual exhaust pipes, and a few more.

The 1996 Mercedes-Benz S600 coupe in Michael Jordan’s collection has been one of his most prized possessions Which even appeared in the 10-part ESPN documentary on the Chicago Bulls dynasty. Unfortunately, later in 2020, MJ's "The Last Dance" was seen up for auction on eBay.

11. 2001 Aston Martin DB7 Volante

The next supercar in Jordan's collection is the Aston Martin DB7 Volante from 2001. At the beginning of his reign in DC, he drove the DB7 Volante, replacing it with a Silver DB9 Volante in 2003. The car had Rannoch red exterior accents.

The car presented phenomenally great acceleration and was still about to cop up with the tremendous comfort and opulence a big star like MJ would be searching for. It was relaxed and similarly civil on the streets of the city.

10. 2005 Bentley Continental GT

As much as Michael Jordan is famous for his game, he is also famous for his Nike Air Jordan shoes. There is a good reason for that; several of the Air Jordans took inspiration from the cars he owned.

The 2005 Bentley Continental GT, worth $159,990, happens to be one of them.

MJ was so impressed with the quilted seat design and smooth ride quality of the Bentley that he made sure the Air Jordan XXI had both of these attributes. Thus, in the case of the shoe, it had diamond-quilted stitching and extra cushioning on the sole to make it more comfortable.

9. 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet ‘SlantNose’

Michael Jordan owns a white 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet Slant Nose. He was so impressed with the design of the car that he used it as inspiration for Nike’s Air Jordan VI.

The Slant Nose model of the Porsche 930 Turbo Cabriolet was the road-legal version of the Porsche sports car. As for the car itself, it is considered one of the best-looking Porsches of all time. It could only be ordered through Porsche's special program called "Sonderwunschprogramm" (option code 505). As for its price, the above Porsche, when new, had a starting price of $170,000.

8. Aston Martin DB9 Volante

Michael Jordan is no doubt a fan of Aston Martin cars, and the Aston Martin DB9 Volante in silver was his replacement for the red DB7 Volante he owned before.

With a starting price of $213,250, the DB9 Volante convertible wasn’t cheap by any means. But for MJ, it was a small sum considering he had just announced his retirement and received a hefty retirement sum.

7. Ferrari 550 Maranello

After Michael Jordan gifted himself a Ferrari to celebrate his first championship, it became more of a habit. With five championships under his belt, it was time for another Ferrari, and that’s how the Ferrari 550 Maranello, worth $215,340, was added to his garage.

Contrary to other Ferrari cars in his garage, MJ got the 550 Maranello in Ferrari’s trademark bright red color.

6. 1992 Ferrari 512TR

Michael Jordan owns a black 1992 Ferrari 512TR with a custom vanity plate that reads ‘M-AIR-J. It is said that the NBA star gifted himself the Ferrari after he won his first NBA championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1991. That said, it’s not known how much MJ paid for the Ferrari, but a new 1992 512TR started at $238,600.

Michael Jordan loves Ferraris with V12. Maybe that's why he owns the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano as well. MJ got himself a Gray model as a post-retirement gift for himself. Spotting one in public is very easy, as it has an ‘MJ 6’ license plate.

Post-retirement the former basketball player kept a low profile but that didn’t stop him from picking a bright yellow Ferrari 488 Pista Spider. With a starting price of $350,000, the 488 Pista Spider is the only V8-powered Ferrari in his garage.

A YouTuber named Pedro Malagon whose channel is Baltic Supra Racing was making a video for his channel when suddenly out of nowhere the legend appeared. Pedro spotted MJ driving his Yellow 488 Pista Spider and went crazy after seeing the 6-time NBA champion riding beside him.

 3. 2007 Mercedes-McLaren SLR 722 Edition

The 2007 Mercedes-McLaren SLR 722 Edition, finished in silver, is a limited-edition supercar owned by Michael Jordan. The car was a tribute to the late Stirling Moss, who, behind the wheels of a Mercedes 300 SLR, won the 1955 Mille Miglia. The car had an estimated price of $480,000 when new, but MJ has recently put it up for sale for $695,750.

2. 2010 Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir

The 2010 Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir, with an estimated worth of $2.2 million, is the second-most expensive car in Michael Jordan’s garage. The Veyron Sang Noir is an ultra-rare version of the original Veyron EB 16.4. Only 12 units of the above car were made, and it is reported that Michael Jordan still owns it.

Well after retirement, Michael Jordan spent a hefty price acquiring the Sang Noir, and guess what, American rapper Drake and MJ both bought this limited edition car. Before buying the Bugatti His Airness had to fill 4 mandatory clauses and one of them was he was bound to spend $21,000 per year for an oil change.

Michael Jordan has recently purchased the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster. This track-focused version of the F5 hypercar is not yet available to the public, and it is estimated to cost $3 million.

Jordan is one of the few people in the world who can afford this exclusive car, and it is sure to be a status symbol for him. With only 24 units scheduled to be built, the Venom F5 is one of the rarest cars in Jordan's collection.

Company CEO John Hennessey personally took his time to deliver MJ's F5 to his private golf club in Florida named Grove XXIII. Although the picture taken is not clear enough we can see the extent of carbon fiber work resulting in its weight falling under 3,100 pounds.
