Richard Hammond's impressive car collection, featuring iconic classics and high-performance vehicles from British Jaguars to American muscle cars is a sight to behold! Known for his love of unique and historical models, the "Top Gear" and "The Grand Tour" star boasts a diverse lineup, including the 1962 Jaguar E-Type, 1971 Buick Riviera, and his famous Opel Kadett "Oliver." Let’s dive deeper and know more about these beauties.

23. 1972 Buick Riviera Boattail (Custom)

Well, this classic American beauty was shown in Hammond’s car collection video on DriveTribe. Well, he was not sure what the future of this car looks like after he bought the car home from the Grand Tour. Being a custom car with multiple modifications on this car.

The green color and the supercharger gaping out of the hood looked dope in our opinion. The mighty 7.5-liter V8 engine breathes through it but the power output is not exactly known. Richard might sell this car or change its color to menacing black. We never know what's going on in Hammond's mind!

22. 1958 Jaguar XK150 FHC

After the American muscle, here comes the British elegance. He has a thing for British cars, but this one was bought for a restoration project under his new venture, “The Smallest Cog." He was joined by Neil Greenhouse and Anthony Greenhouse, a father-son duo that looks after the restoration work. This beauty was famous as a rally car during its time.

Richard put it back well, and the external Dove Gray paint and red leather seats just added to its old-age charm. The same car was seen in the video uploaded by DriveTribe, and it looked in showroom condition. Hammond also drove it when the restoration was completed.

21. 90's Peugeot Pickup Truck

Well, this one’s a surprise even for us, as he showed a 90’s Peugeot truck that he bought for himself and had some plans for it. He showed it on DriveTribe channel but did not reveal much about it.

The French pickup truck was not a part of any of his shows, and hence nothing much was known about it. But we hope that Hammond does wonders with this one and make it something that's unique.

20. 1972 MGB GT

Another classic British legend for Hammond came in the form of the MGB GT. It was the last car that Hammond drove on Top Gear. He bought it for the unmistakingly old British coupe style.

Hammond was clearly amused with the driving character this blue little car had on offer and he found it so spectacular that he straightaway bought it for his own collection.

19. 1999 Jaguar XJR

Richard Hammond’s 1999 Jaguar XJR

“I loved it! It was my daily for a while,” Hammond says. “I sold it when I was having one of my regular culls of stuff—I’d run out of space—and it was a ‘Ooh, I regret selling that,’ immediately. Instantly. And I have thought about it a few times since.”

Back on the market, Hammond opted to repurchase it and reached out to the dealer. The vehicle was offered to him at a reasonable price.

Allegedly maintained by a single owner since his initial sale, the car remains in remarkably good condition. As Hammond settles into the driver's seat, one can observe his reaction to a rush of memories flooding back.

Hammonds says with a laugh “Oh! That is weird. That is… I’ve just shot straight back. Immediately. But interacting with the gear lever – yeah, nothing’s changed,”

18. 1969 MG Midget Mark III

1969 MG Midget Mark III

The MG Midget was one of the most popular cars among enthusiasts in the mid-1900s and classic car enthusiasts believed that the MG models were the icons of the European sportscar genre. They were light, fast, and fun to drive.

Richard Hammond has one of the 1969 MG Midget Mark III models in his collection, which has been restored just like most of his other classic cars.

1963 Opel Kadett AKA Oliver

The 1963 Opel Kadett is probably the most famous car in Richard Hammond’s car collection, and, most of you might know it by the name: Oliver. This car gained fame during a "Top Gear" special in Botswana, where Hammond developed a sentimental attachment to it.

The same car was also used in a cab episode where cab cars from all over the world were used in a race to see which country had the best cabbie. And it was definitely used as an obstacle in a truck episode of Top Gear. He subsequently shipped it back to the UK and restored it for his personal collection.

 1969 Dodge Charger R/T

The older 1968 version of this magnificent muscle car found fame in iconic shows like The Dukes of Hazzard and as the villain in Bullitt. Undoubtedly, it exudes a boss-like aura.

Hammond once noted on a Top Gear episode that the handling of the '68 Charger SRT8 was quite subpar. Interestingly, he seemed more forgiving when it came to the handling of the 2008 Charger SRT8. Perhaps, that choice aligns with a more logical perspective.
