Susie Wiles is an American political consultant. She is the first ever woman chief of staff. She is the 32nd White House Chief of Staff in the second Trump administration. She served as the co-chair of Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. She also ran Trump’s campaign in 2016.
Her term begins in January 2025. Before that, here’s everything you need to know about her:
Early Career
Well, Susie started her career as the assistant for the United States House of Representatives, Jack Kamp, in 1979. You remember Jack Kamp? He was a former NFL quarterback and also a member of the Republican Party from New York. He served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under George H.W. Bush from 1989 to 1993.
In 1980, she became the campaign scheduler for Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign.
She served as the advisor to Jacksonville's mayor, John Peyton, from 2004 to 2009. In 2011, she was the campaign manager for the former governor of Utah Jon Huntsman’s presidential campaign.
Donald Trump Era
In 2016, Wiles managed Trump’s campaign operations in Florida. The United States Presidential Election was held on November 8, 2016. Although Trump lost the popular vote by over 2.8 million votes to Hillary Clinton, he won the electoral vote, securing 30 states and 304 electoral votes compared to Clinton’s 227. This victory made Trump the 45th president of the United States.
In March 2021, Susie was appointed as the CEO of Donald Trump’s Save America PAC. In August 2022, she was regarded as Trump's "chief of staff" during the lead-up to the 2022 midterm elections and his announcement for the 2024 presidential campaign.
After his victory in the 2024 election, the 47th president of the United States, Trump announced that Susie Wiles will be the White House chief of staff. In his winning speech, Donald Trump said she likes to stay in the background and referred to her as the “ice maiden." Here you can watch the video.
Susie’s work as Chief Of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Wiles will play a critical role in shaping strategy, overseeing endorsements, and rallying support for Trump’s policies. Her position as a prominent force in Republican politics will likely extend beyond Trump’s term, reflecting her enduring influence on the party. With her strategic insights and dedication, she has been an essential part of Trump’s team—a quality he has praised her for, even in times when his campaign faced challenges, such as after the RNC’s response to the assassination attempt during a campaign event.
Life outisde of Politics
Wiles married Lanny Wiles, a Republican consultant, and they moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, near Jacksonville, Florida, in 1985. The couple divorced in 2017. Wiles has two daughters, Katie and Carolin, who are both active in their church community for personal reasons. Her father, Pat Summerall, was an NFL player and sportscaster, known for broadcasting a record 16 Super Bowls.
Susie Wiles has built a successful career in politics and consulting, which has made her wealthy. Her net worth, estimated between $7 million and $10 million, likely stems from her extensive political and consulting career.
Wiles also enjoys a luxurious lifestyle. Wiles’ high-performance car collection, including a Porsche 911 Turbo and a luxury Range Rover, underscores her status in Republican politics.
