Tim Allen and Jay Leno To Reunite For The 109th Episode Of “Shifting Gears”

ABC announced on the 12th of February that Jay Leno will be appearing on the sitcom “Shifting Gears” as himself. This will mark a reunion between the two longtime friends after their previous appearance in ABC’s Last Man Standing.

The photos shared from the sets show Jay Leno and Tim Allen posing in front of a classic car. The episode will have Leno bring his car into Parker Customs for a repair.

The official synopsis also suggests that the episode will also revolve around Riley being “horrified when she finds weed gummies in Carter’s pocket, prompting surprising advice from Matt. Meanwhile, Eve inadvertently lands Gabriel and Stitch in hot water after asking them to donate to a charity auction.”

Leno and Allen

Jay Leno and Tim Allen have been friends for a long time going way back to the 70s. Apart from featuring in “Last Man Standing”, where Leno played the role of Joe Leonard, a retired technician who later works at the repair shop at Outdoor Man, Allen also made a guest appearance on Leno’s show “Jay Leno’s Garage”. 
After photos surfaced of Leno’s face being bruised, Allen was quick to inform that his friend was “feeling better” and that “He took his car magazines. We did some jokes, which is what we do. We Commiserated.”

The episode airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
