Taylor Swift fans in Austria are heartbroken as a recent terrorist activity caused this week’s concert to be canceled. The government officials arrested two men with a plan to attack major Austrian events and the event management decided to call off the Eras Tour in the country.

Terrorists’ plan foiled

Two individuals including a 19-year-old boy have been arrested by Austrian officials after allegations surfaced regarding attacks on major events. One major target among the events was Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour which was supposed to take place this week from Thursday through Saturday.
The arrest technically foiled the terrorists’ plans to bomb the Ernst-Happel-Stadion where Swift was scheduled to perform. The 19-year-old has been reported to have allegiance to ISIS forcing the officials to consider serious actions.
The event organizer, Barracuda Music, has released an official statement on its Instagram handle about the cancellation of the entire show. It has reassured the fans that all tickets will be refunded within 10 business days. Austrian officials have also shared their disappointment over the said cancellation.

Taylor concerned about Swifties

It is known that Taylor Swift doesn’t cancel events but sometimes even she is forced to break the fans’ hearts. Last year she postponed a show in Rio De Janeiro after a fan died of excessive heat. This time, however, she showed her concerns for the Swifties in Vienna canceling the entire tour.
Swift’s Lover Tour was also canceled due to Covid but this time, the threats were too great and her entire team again made the hard decision for the fans. A lot of money and hard work had already been put into the event but nothing came before the safety of the fans.
