In a funny incident, British actor Tom Holland, known for playing Spider-Man, tried to buy his non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, at a Target store in the U.S. On February 18, 2025, he shared this experience on his Instagram Stories. Holland told his fans that he was not allowed to buy his non-alcoholic beer because he couldn't prove his age.

The Quest to Find Bero

After returning to the United States, Tom Holland wanted to see Bero in stores. He first tried two Target stores, but neither had the product. Undeterred, he went to a third Target store and finally found Bero in different packaging options, including Kingston Golden Pils, Edge Hill Hazy IPA, and Noon Wheat.

ID Verification Challenges

Holland faced an unexpected issue at the checkout after successfully discovering his product. The store's system did not accept his English ID as proof of age, so he could not buy the non-alcoholic beverage. Luckily, a helpful Target employee scanned their ID, which allowed the purchase to go through. Holland humorously reflected on the irony of not being able to buy his own product.

Bero: A Brand Born from Personal Experience

In January 2022, Holland started his journey to sobriety. He noticed a lack of premium non-alcoholic drinks that encourage social inclusion. This inspired him to create Bero. The brand officially launched in October 2024 and offers three types of beverages: Kingston Golden Pils, Edge Hill Hazy IPA, and Noon Wheat. By January 2025, Bero became available nationwide at Target stores. The goal is to provide a high-quality alternative for those looking for non-alcoholic options.
