Sabrina Carpenter has joined Chappell Roan’s call for better healthcare support in the music industry by donating $25,000 to the We Got You campaign, a fundraising partnership between Roan and the non-profit Backline. Carpenter’s contribution matches donations from Roan, Charli XCX, and Noah Kahan, all pushing for better accessibility to health coverage for artists.

Roan’s Grammys Speech

During her speech at the 2025 Grammys, where she won Best New Artist, Roan urged the industry to provide proper healthcare for artists. Former A&R executive Jeff Rabhan criticized her speech, calling her “too green” to push for change. Roan responded by challenging him to match her $25,000 donation which he has not done yet.
“I love how in the article you said ‘put your money where your mouth is,'” she wrote at the time. “Genius !!! Let’s link and build together and see if you can do the same.”

Industry Support & Celebrity Contributions

Kahan and Charli XCX publicly praised Roan’s initiative before making their donations. Kahan wrote on his Instagram Stories, “I’m inspired by you. Happy to help get the ball rolling. Money where mouth is,” which prompted Charli XCX to follow with her own post: “your speech at the grammys was inspiring and thoughtful and from a genuine place of care. happy to help get the ball rolling too.”

Roan clarified that her goal wasn’t to create a “crowdfunded bandaid” but to push for industry-wide policy changes. She also told fans not to donate, emphasizing that it’s the responsibility of music executives to step up.

Despite this, some fans have still contributed to the campaign.More artists are supporting the cause, strengthening the push for better healthcare in the music industry.
