Oasis fans are set for another chance to secure tickets for their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour. The band hopes to calm fan frustration by adding two more Wembley Stadium gigs on September 27 and 28, 2025, following a significant outcry over ticketing concerns.

Ticketing controversy sparks investigation

The ticketing process for Oasis's UK and Ireland concerts faced significant backlash when tickets sold out in under a day. Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing methodology was a major factor in the drama surrounding ticket sales. Upon completing the purchase procedure, many were taken aback to discover that the £148 quoted price for basic tickets had more than doubled, reaching £355 or more.

Dynamic pricing sparks fan outrage

The debate around dynamic pricing on Ticketmaster is not new. Similar problems during Taylor Swift's Eras tour prompted a lawsuit alleging monopolistic practices against Live Nation Entertainment, the company that owns Ticketmaster. The CMA has launched an investigation, questioning whether Ticketmaster provided clear information about the price increases and the pressures fans faced during the buying process.

New dates, new hope

Oasis announced two more Wembley Stadium concert dates for September 2025 in an effort to ease the ire of its adoring fans. Fans who were upset by the initial auction can now find some relief through the introduction of a lottery system. Though the debate persists, Ticketmaster guaranteed that dynamic pricing will not be implemented for the additional dates.

Liam Gallagher speaks out

Liam Gallagher has been vocal about the ticketing debacle, expressing his frustration over fans being left without tickets despite long waits in queues. Furthermore, he stated firmly that although the band planned a fair ticketing process, it was not executed to the band's standards.
Despite this, he continued to perform with his signature cheeky manner, making funny allusions to the reunion tour's itinerary and making fun of his brother Noel.

Definitely Maybe

Amidst the turmoil, the excitement for Oasis’ reunion remains palpable. Since the band's reunion, interest in their music has grown again, as seen by the famous album "Definitely Maybe" returning to the top of the UK charts.
Despite the controversy around the tickets, Oasis' reunion is one of the most anticipated events on the music calendar. It promises a nostalgic return to the stage for one of the most recognizable rock bands in Britain.
