Inside Inspiring Keanu Reeves’ Bike Collection

‘’When do you become a collector? When you have more than two or more than one? Or more than three? Is it more than three? Then I am barely a collector’’, this is Keanu Reeves in his interview with HQ magazine. We all might be aware of the fact that Keanu is an avid motorcyclist and has a collection of bikes in his garage, but most of them might not be aware of the fact that the Hollywood celebrity also co-owns a company called ‘’Arch Motorcycle’’.
Keanu Reeves's first ride ever was with a Kawasaki KLR 600, which he saw in Munich with one of the women he was working with on a film set. The Matrix lead actor loves to talk about his well-known motorcycle collections, from the 1973 Norton Commando to the Kawasaki Ninja’, and how much he enjoys them. 
With an outstanding passion for tailor-made motorcycles, in 2010, Keanu Charles Reeves chose to be the founder and co-owner of the company called ‘’Arch Motorcycle’’ to deliver the same experience to passionate bikers. Personally, actor Keanu Reeves is a big fan of twin engines, and has the following gems under his garage:

14. Kawasaki 600 Enduro

The Kawasaki KLR 600 Enduro was the first bike of Keanu Reeves, which the actor bought in 1987. This off-roader got Keanu hooked on it when he saw a girl riding it in Munich. The then 22-year-old Keanu got the opportunity to try his hands on a Kawasaki 600 Enduro, and upon his return to LA, this dirt bike inspired him to buy one of the Nortons.

Keanu was working on a film when he first rode the Kawasaki 600 Enduro, and the girl who he saw riding the off-roader and asked for a favor was also working on the same film.

13. Suzuki GXR 750

In 2012, in an interview with ‘’Adventure Bike Rider’’ magazine, Keanu Reeves talked about his ownership of several bikes from the past and one of them is Suzuki GXR 750. In another talk in 2014, the Hollywood actor and an avid bike enthusiast revealed that it was with the Suzuki GXR 750, on which he rode the fastest ever in his life, taking the 1988 Suzuki to 135 miles per hour of speed on the two-lane section of the Taconic State Parkway.

Keanu Reeves seems to have a special bond with the Suzuki’s as right from his early days of career, the star actor has got different suzukis’ under his garage.

12. Suzuki GS 1100E

In his interview with a magazine in 2021, the Hollywood celebrity talked about how he used to get one used bike when he was at work in different locations. About the Suzuki GS1100E, Keanu Reeves bought this gem of a motorcycle from Portland for work.

Reeves used to buy used bikes for work locations and then sell them, once the purpose was achieved.

11. 71 Norton Commando 750

Keanu bought Norton Commando 750 when the actor was working on the Matrix in Australia. Talking about this 1971 Norton Commando , Keanu Reeves said that he loves both of his Norton, be it the 1973 Commando 850 or 1971 Commando 750 (Canary Yellow).

Keanu has had a bit of a crash with one of his Nortons where he found his spleen ruptured. Considering Keanu's passion for decades for being a bike enthusiast, it doesn’t surprise us at all.

10. 1974 BMW R75/6

Among the finest bikes in Keanu Reeves's garage, the 1974 BMW is one of the most precious possessions for the actor. This class-act motorcycle is something that Keanu would never want to get rid of, as it is rare & one-off in the market. 
One can compare the actor’s 1974 BMW R75 to another bike in his garage, the Commando 850 MK2A, as their design & specs aren’t far apart. This BMW bike is full of class and design and completely suits the occasion for Keanu's chill rides.

9. 1973 Norton Commando 850 MK2A

‘’I just grew up loving Norton’s’’ said Keanu Reeves in an interview to a magazine, describing the black beauty from 1987. What Keanu loves about the Norton Commando is its rubber-mounted engines, reducing the vibrations from the engine to the body.
Explaining his nostalgia, Keanu spoke fondly about some other lovely aspects of the Norton such as the bike smells good when its English twins heat up the oil.

Keanu bought the 1973 Norton Commando 850 MK2A in 1987, his life’s second motorcycle. In the movie My Own Private Idaho, the star actor had the opportunity to have fun with another Norton Yellow Canary.

8. Kawasaki KZ900

Kawasaki KZ900 does justice to the collection of top-notch bikes under Keanus’ garage, as this old generation class apart cruiser makes an absolute case for being the comfort zone of any rider. This old and classic Kawasaki KZ900 is one of the oldest bikes that the Canadian actor Keanu Reeves owns.

Maybe, someday, the Hollywood celebrity could decide to light up the big screen for his bike-lover fans with a ride on Kawasaki KZ900, giving them one more reason to smile.

7. 2004 Ducati 998 Matrix Edition

‘’Spectacular Bike, Beautiful Motorcycle’’, that’s what Keanu Reeves said about the favorite superbike from his collection, and so far, it has been the best commentary on the 2004 Ducati Matrix Reloaded Edition.
With the Matrix green color, and Matrix Reloaded graphics, this Ducati was with the writers and directors of the Matrix Film Series. However, currently, Keanu Charles Reeves is the custodian of this iconic motorcycle from the movie.

One day, Keanu wishes to take the one-off Ducati on race tracks, as the actor feels cool about showing it to fans, due to its extreme popularity among them. In the movie, the Ducati 988 was ridden by the actress ‘’Carry Ann Moss’’.

6. EL Diablo West Coast Chopper

Keanu’s El Diablo West Coast Chopper motorcycle, for being 6 figure priced, and its extremely unique form factor, illustrates what the Hollywood actor says about motorcycles, ‘’If you have ridden a bicycle, you kinda get it’’.
El Diablo West Coast Chopper is one of those bikes that Mr Reeves will want to experience more often out there on the roads. With his long hair and a 6.1 height, the Diablo West Coast chopper motorcycle would suit the Hollywood heartthrob the best.

5. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is one of the favorites of the Arch Motorcycle co-owner and actor when it comes to racetracks. Keanu Reeves' excitement comes from the fact that, on racetracks, he doesn’t have to worry about the traffic and speed limits.
Keanu calls Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R his ‘’Ponies’’ and the celebrity has been spotted with his Green Ninja on multiple occasions, posing with the partners and employees for the Arch annual events.

Keanu Reeves has ridden one of Kawasaki's KZ 900 in one of his movies called ‘’Chain Reaction’’. The actor is extremely popular among his fans for being a bike lover and has been involved with many bike ride scenes in his movies such as John Wick Chapters 2 & 3, and ‘’My Own Private Idaho’’.

4. 2019 ARCH KRGT-1

Keanu Reeves, the co-owner and co-founder of Arch Motorcycle, is proud of the fact that his company produces 200 components in-house for the KRGT-1. His bike company also works with other top-notch partners from all over the world. Calling the 2019 ARCH KRGT-1 ‘’almost a new category’’, The Hollywood actor says KRGT-1 is for both long cruises and as well as for bendy and curvy roads on the move.

The Hollywood celebrity also calls the black Arch KRGT-1 ‘’out of most rider’s budget’’ as this performance category cruiser is a specially tailored bike and costs dearly to the buyer’s pocket.

3. 2019 ARCH 1S

Keanu Reeves is more of a face of the Arch Motorcycle, where he is mostly involved in who they are as a company and what they are presenting in terms of the dream of the Arch Motorcycle, and the motorcycle company’s ambition.
In an interview, Keanu said that If Arch KRGT-1 is a performance cruiser, then ARCH 1S (Black) is a performance cruiser sport, as the actor looked delighted, explaining the critical aspects of his company's then-upcoming ARCH 1S motorcycle.

Arch 1S is different from the KRGT-1 by its mid-control approach for the rider, instead of the usual forward control approach in bikes.

2. Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide

Keanu Reeves got his customized Harley Davidson in 2007, but his co-founder from Arch Motorcycle, Gard Hollinger has his own plans. By the end of the year 2012, the Harley Davidson had only its engines at the wheels, with the rest of the body parts customized. Interestingly, this overly tailored version of the Harley Davidson eventually became the prototype for the Arch Motorcycle company.

Keanu Reeves remembers his Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide as an amazing motorcycle, and his dream to personalize the same ended up in the creation of an amazing tailor-made motorcycle company.

1. 1984 Harley Davidson Shovelhead

If the 1984 Harley Davidson Shovelhead can be personified, no other celebrity and actor could match this chill-out bike than Keanu Charles Reeves. The Matrix film series actor and the founder of the Arch Motorcycle, Keanu has got his swag in life among his admirers, and the possession of Harley Davidson Shovelhead signifies the same.

If, ever, Keanu Reeves looks to have a fun handout with his friends, showing off a bit of hippie culture, none will suit the occasion better than the shovelhead.

Keanu has used some of the most fascinating bikes in his movies, such as the Aprilia 200 660 in John Wick Chapter 4, Yamaha MT 09 in John Wick Chapter 1, and Norton Commando in ‘’My Own Private Idaho’’. In the Matrix Reloaded film, Keanu’s Ducati 998 the Matrix Reloaded edition was used for stunt scenes and this iconic machine resides in the actor's garage. Also, the Canadian actor used his Kawasaki KZ900 in the movie called ‘’Chain Reaction’’, released in 1996.
