Ralph Lauren's XKSS however was first dispatched back to the factory after recording some issues and was later released with a British Race Green color scheme. After decades, the first of the 12 cars (including Ralph's XKSS) out of 16 (first lot) were gathered for Jaguar's 75th anniversary celebration in 2010, at the famed Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

For the British automaker brand, the 50s was one of their glory periods as the Jaguar XK120 Roadster was unveiled back in 1948 at the London Motor Show. Jaguar designer William Lyons explained the car as an explosive roadster with feline grace.
