Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy is known for his comedic feats across the globe but the automotive collector world knows him as the “VW Bus Guy”. His car collection has over 25 cars from VW buses to Classic Chevy and even the oldest VW Bug in the United States.

Fluffy’s garage famously known as “The Fluffy Garage” (est - 2014) was his brainchild as he built it to pay tribute to the famous Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, Germany with his own choices of artwork, Fluffy pieces, and most importantly his fleet of VW cars. As a matter of fact, being such a VW admirer, Fluffy became the first customer in North America to own the 2025 VW ID. Buzz.

The Fluffy Museum Hosts 18 Iconic VW Buses

Gabriel Iglesias aka Fluffy started investing in Volkswagen buses after getting investment ideas from none other than his friend Jay Leno.

Well, after just one and a half years of listening to Jay Leno, Fluffy ended up collecting 18 iconic VW buses that are worth more than $3 million today. Let’s dive in and learn about a few of his most popular VW Buses.

9. 1968 Volkswagen “Bay Window” Bus

Let’s start with Fluffy’s favorite car which is also his first car - the 1968 VW Bay Window. At the age of 17, Gabriel received the bus as a gift from his brother which at the time cost only $400. Since that day, it has become his favorite one.

The VW Bay Window has a gray-white color scheme with a full shield window, unlike his other VW buses. The interior has been upgraded with smaller seats to ensure better comfort for Iglesias.

8. Volkswagen 21 Window “Iron Man” Bus

Gabriel is a Marvel Comics fanatic and this bus was customized to pay homage to “Iron Man” actor Robert Downey Jr. aka Tony Stark. The bus features a two-tone color scheme much like the Iron Man suit.

As for other modifications, Fluffy actually lowered the ground clearance compared to his other VW buses cuz he likes it that way. However, the most interesting thing is the wheels as Fluffy put Porsche alloy wheels with the brand’s logo on them making it a custom VW specimen in its own category.

7. 1967 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper

As a fun-loving comedian, Fluffy loves enjoying outings with his friends and two of his pet chihuahuas, and what better way to make that travel more memorable than a VW Camper Bus? Iglesias bought the 1967 Camper from a guy in Germany who originally bought it from someone in California - a great back-and-forth journey we guess. Also, the same model of the bus can also be found inside the Volkswagen ambassador Ewan McGregor's car collection

Fluffy’s Westfalia Camper got some modifications and the most notable is its two-tone gray-white color scheme very much in the vein of the Bentley colors giving it a much more classic and stylish appearance. Other amenities like a single bed, wood cabinets, and curtains make it a perfect camper bus for Fluffy.

6. 1959 23-Window Volkswagen T1 Bus

Back in 2019, Fluffy bought this 1959 T1 bus from his friend Henry Marchena who is responsible for most of Fluffy’s restoration. The biggest difference between the 50s and 60s VW bus is their turn signal lights. The '60s model has it spike-shaped while the 50s model is rather flat kind of like an egg.

5. 19-Window Volkswagen Ragtop Bus

Unlike his other VW buses, this 19-Window bus is more of a cruising family-size touring bus that comes with a Ragtop option. It was an optional feature back then and Fluffy kept it as original as possible besides the new paint job.

4. 1953 15-Window Volkswagen Bus

People who know about VW buses always prefer the ones with 21-windows but the truth is VW buses with 15-windows are the rarest of them all. Fluffy’s 15-Window VW Bus comes with a two-tone Red and white color scheme and the comedian calls his 1953 15-Window “Quinceanera”.

3. Volkswagen Double-Cab Truck

Gabriel not only invested in VW buses but also had the time to acquire an old-school VW Double-Cab Truck. Back in the day, people were hard-working and needed trucks for their daily work and that’s how VW came up with these Double-Cab trucks. However, as sophisticated as Fluffy’s taste in VW, he fully repainted the truck and added a whole lot of chrome to it.

2. 1966 Volkswagen Samba

Painted in a two-tone Pesta Green & White color combo, this transporter bus features an optional ragtop with all 21 working windows. The interior is fitted with beige white leather while the engine is kept as stock and also the rear bumper. The two even took the bus for a ride and had a great time while enjoying friendly conversations.

However, when he got the car, it was just a plain black Camaro but later it got a golden firebird made upon the front hood. On a side note, only 77 examples of Trans AM Edition were made.

Gabriel Iglesias in the Business Insider video says that he is scared to drive the car. However, he has sat behind the steering wheel in CNBC’s Jay Leno’s Garage show. 2. 1994 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra “Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica”

Fluffy's 1994 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra

Near the end of 2023, Gabriel was informed about a pristine Mustang Cobra Convertible from the ‘90s that he always wanted to have as it was the same year of his graduation and jumped on the deal. To make it more special, the red Mustang had been kept all original and clocked only 12 miles. Although Fluffy didn’t disclose the buying price of the Ford publically, he said he only had to change the fuel tank and tires on the car.

Fluffy also took his Ford “Replica Pace Car” to Jay Leno's Garage where the two comedians talked about the story behind the car and even drove it to feel the original 5.0L Cobra engine running in the streets. Fluffy even talked about his take on the car saying, “…I graduated in 1994 and this is the car that everybody wanted…", he continued, ”…the fact that I was able to find the car that's brand-new but from my time…".

1. A Pair Of 1988 Monte Carlo SS

Gabriel Iglesias's Classic 1988 Monte Carlo SS in pair

Prior to buying his ID. Buzz, Gabriel Iglesias came across his fantasy of having one of the most iconic cars from the late '80s - the 1988 Monte Carlo SS. The comedian was already searching for the car and was informed by a gentleman who wanted to sell an all-original, almost brand-new, 1988 Monte Carlo SS. However, the acquisition came with an interesting twist as Fluffy discovered that he had to buy two of them as they were twins and had an interesting story behind them.

Hence, the comedian bought the Monte Carlo SS in pairs and brought them to his good friend Jay Leno and talked about it in one of “Jay Leno's Garage” episodes. The story goes - that the cars belonged to two brothers from Ohio who made money through some illegal stuff and bought these matching Monte Carlo SS. However, the unexpected death of those two brothers during a shootout left their family to sell the cars and that's how Fluffy was able to get his hands on these classic whips. To a surprise, one of the biggest car collectors in America, Jay Leno doesn't even have a Monte Carlo SS pair in his car collection.

While Fluffy became the only comedian to sell out the Dodgers stadium back in 2022, his ever-growing hunger for cars has led him to be a proper bonafide car guy among comedians.

This is it for what “The Fluffy Museum” has to offer. If you are interested in more car collections, check out the links below.
