Steve Ballmer

Steve Ballmer is most known in the world for heading Microsoft as CEO from 2000 to 2014. He is synonymous with tech industry leadership and innovation. He is known for his dynamic personality. Apart from doing philanthropic work, he also owns the Los Angeles Clippers NBA team, which he bought for $2 billion. He is the head behind successful products like the Xbox gaming console, Windows XP, and Windows 7.

• Steven Anthony Ballmer was born on March 24, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan.
• He attended Detroit Country Day School, where he excelled academically and showed an early interest in mathematics.
• After high school, Ballmer went to Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Economics in 1977. 
• During his time at Harvard, he lived down the hall from Bill Gates and was a manager for the Harvard Crimson football team. He also worked on The Harvard Crimson newspaper and The Harvard Advocate, the university's literary magazine.

• Steve's mother, Beatrice Dworkin, was the daughter of Samuel Dworkin, a Russian Jew who fled to the United States in 1914 and became a merchant for a glass store.
• Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, is married to Connie Snyder Ballmer. 
• Connie is the co-founder of Ballmer Group, which focuses on improving economic mobility for children and families in the United States. 
• They have three children together: Sam Ballmer, Peter Ballmer, and Aaron Ballmer. 
• Ballmer is the second cousin of actress and comedian Gilda Radner.
