R&B icon Usher Raymond IV has sold his luxurious Los Angeles home for $3.6 million, a slight profit from the $3.4 million he paid in 2022, parting with a property steeped in Hollywood history. Originally constructed in 1955, this mid-century jewel has a rich Hollywood past. This property is no ordinary home; it boasts a lineage of celebrity owners, including Jared Leto and the famous Delevingne sisters, Cara and Poppy.

A Hollywood Hills dream

This spectacular 4,000-sq.-ft. home is an archetypical Californian dream. Situated in the Hollywood Hills, the property was and is equipped with five bedrooms, four baths, and numerous special elements. 
The home's exterior is equally spectacular, with vines covering the facade, adding to the Hollywood ambiance. The outdoor area features a swimming pool, hot tub, a stone fireplace, and a barbecue pit, ideal for hosting guests in the seclusion of tall palm trees. The house even has a special artist's studio, a special playroom, and a personal studio that meets Usher's singing needs.

A peek inside the celebrity design

Fashion models Cara and Poppy Delevingne, who are known for their unique fashion sense, redesigned the house into a Southern Californian hideaway. Working closely with architect Nicolò Bini, they have created an interior that combines mid-century modern style, Beverly Hills glamor, and a hint of English roots. There was an emerald lacquer dining room and the entire house was decorated in a tropical manner.

A quick turnaround in the market

Listed for $3.8 million in June, the home quickly attracted a buyer, selling slightly under the asking price within weeks. Although the identity of the new owner is still unknown, it can be stated that the property’s history of registering the names of celebrities and the peculiar atmosphere definitely made it an object of desire.
Usher's real estate holdings lose one property as he leaves this celebrity-studded residence, yet the history of this legendary house endures.
