At the age of 38, 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal declared his retirement from professional tennis. In his last match, he lost to Botic van de Zandschulp 6-4, 6-4 in Spain's Davis Cup quarterfinal encounter against the Netherlands in Málaga on November 19, 2024.
