MrBeast Reveals How Much Money Is In His Bank Account

MrBeast or Jimmy Donaldson is famous for his grand giveaways and extravagant philanthropic commitments. 

He is among the top 10 richest YouTubers in the world. As of early 2025, his net worth is estimated to be around $1 billion. 

However, despite such a huge fortune, MrBeast keeps less than $1 million in his personal bank account, reflecting his peculiar financial strategy which has been criticized by money and accounting professor at the University of New Haven, Dr. James Mohs.

Earnings and Revenue Streams

In a year, MrBeast's earns close to $600 million to $700 million. 

The majority of his income comes from brand collaborations, business ventures (such as MrBeast Burger and Feastables), and YouTube channels which collectively have more than 400 million subscribers. 

He has beaten even Ronaldo in the subscriber’s game if not in terms of wealth.

Bank Account Balance

In an interview with Steven Bartlett, the judge on The Dragon's Den and host of "The Diary of a CEO" podcast, MrBeast revealed that he is a billionaire on paper but “in my actual bank account, I have less than a million dollars." Dr. Mohs advises to keep 10% in the cash reserves. 

However, the creator of the real-life Squid Games has a different philosophy. He says “I try to just pay myself for what I spend personally in a month just to stay even.” 

Meanwhile, Donaldson doesn’t have access to his bank accounts which are controlled by his mother, Susan "Sue" Parishes. 

We wonder what his mother would have said when he crashed a multi-million dollar Formula E car.

Spending Habits and Reinvestment Philosophy

MrBeast's financial approach is putting back almost everything he has earned into his business ventures. 

He claims that “I’ve reinvested everything to the point of stupidity”. For instance, his Amazon Prime Video series, "Beast Games," reportedly cost over $100 million to produce. 

Despite attracting over 50 million viewers in its first 25 days, MrBeast acknowledged that the project resulted in a personal financial loss of tens of millions of dollars. 

However, he continues to claim that "Money is fuel to grow business” which is hard to argue.
