James Kennedy Of 'Vanderpump Rules' Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

James Kennedy, best known for his role in Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules," was arrested on December 10, 2024, in Burbank, California, on charges of misdemeanor domestic assault. The incident occurred after he attended Kathy Hilton's holiday party earlier that evening.Police were reportedly called to a home in Burbank, Calif., on Tuesday night following an incident between Kennedy, 32, and an unidentified lady. Witnesses to the incident said the reality star "grabbed" the woman, but authorities found no visible injuries on her.

Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, were attending Kathy Hilton's Christmas party on the night of the incident. Kennedy was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges and later released on $20,000 bond.

Incident Details

Authorities responded to a 911 call about an argument between Kennedy and an unidentified lady at a Burbank home. Witnesses reported that Kennedy, 32, grabbed the woman, but officers found no visible injuries. He was arrested and then freed on $20,000 bail. The Burbank City Attorney's Office is presently reviewing the matter to see whether formal charges should be brought.

Behavior Prior to Arrest

Earlier that evening, Kennedy went to Kathy Hilton's holiday party with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, 28. Fellow guest Nick Viall noticed Kennedy acting aggressively toward a friend, describing him as "barking orders," which Viall found unexpected. At the party, Viall said he and his wife Natalie Joy saw Kennedy and his girlfriend Ally Lewber, took a photo with them, and met a person Kennedy had brought to the party, whom he "introduced as his best friend." A few minutes later, Viall stated that he noticed the DJ walk by and begin "barking orders" at the friend he had brought to the party.

Past Allegations

This is not the first time Kennedy has been accused of abusive behavior. Raquel Leviss, his ex-girlfriend, filed a lawsuit accusing him of being "violent and dangerous" in February 2024.Furthermore, his former girlfriend, Kristen Doute, has validated previous abuse charges against him.
