In an incredible show of unity, the FireAid benefit concert earned more than $100 million to help victims of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The star-studded concert on January 30, 2025, featured performances by over 30 musicians, including Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and Jelly Roll. The event was aired on 28 streaming platforms, attracting an audience of more than 50 million viewers.

The event took place at two locations in Inglewood, California: the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum. The release announced that the shows attracted over 50 million viewers across 28 streaming platforms. More than 30 artists performed, including Green Day and Billie Eilish, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Stevie Wonder, Lil Baby, Tate McRae, Sting, Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak with Dr. Dre and Sheila E, Dawes, John Mayer, a Nirvana reunion, Joni Mitchell, a reunited No Doubt, P!nk, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others.
Significant Contributions
FireAid announced that it raised over $60 million from ticket sales and sponsorships before the show. The L.A.-based Annenberg Foundation will help decide how to distribute the funds with advice from a grants advisory board.
The total sum raised consists of ticket sales from both venues, sponsorships, retail sales, and public donations. This includes major donations from the Azoff family, the Eagles, Andrew Hauptman, Ellen Bronfman Hauptman, and U2.
According to the statement, the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers will fund the running costs for the six-hour perks. Billionaire Steve Ballmer and his wife Connie matched every pledge made during the broadcast and VOD playback, while Live Nation assisted with production.
Ongoing Support
Organizers have announced that fundraising efforts are continue, with the first funds set to be handed in mid-February. The monies will go towards a variety of activities, including housing aid, mental health services, and community reconstruction projects.
