In an incredible show of unity, the FireAid benefit concert earned more than $100 million to help victims of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The star-studded concert on January 30, 2025, featured performances by over 30 musicians, including Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and Jelly Roll. The event was aired on 28 streaming platforms, attracting an audience of more than 50 million viewers.


A Night of Music and Generosity

The event took place at two locations in Inglewood, California: the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum. Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers presented poignant performances, while survivors and first responders recounted their tales, underscoring the devastation caused by the wildfires.


Significant Contributions

U2 donated $1 million, and Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and his wife, Connie, matched the amount. The monies will go toward both urgent relief efforts and long-term recovery requirements in the Los Angeles area. 


Ongoing Support

Organizers have announced that fundraising efforts are continue, with the first funds set to be handed in mid-February. The monies will go towards a variety of activities, including housing aid, mental health services, and community reconstruction projects.
