One of the titans in the automotive and racing industry, Rick Hendrick is the mastermind behind NASCAR's colossus Hendrick Motorsport and the founder of Hendrick Automotive Group. Rick's history with automobiles goes a long way back from becoming the youngest Chevrolet dealership owner to the founder of the most successful NASCAR team.

 

Regarding cars, Rick’s collection showcases a diverse range of luxury and performance-based vehicles, predominantly featuring Corvettes or other performance-based luxurious cars. Below are some of the most exclusive ones housed in his garage.


14. 1931 Chevrolet

Rick Hendrick has a special place in his heart for the cherry red 1931 Chevrolet, as this is his first-ever car. After buying it at the age of 14 Rick modified the car at his grandfather’s general store and raced in different local drag strips while setting new records.

This is one of the cars for which Rick might have paid just $250, however, he will never part ways with it. The cherry-red Chevy has been in his garage for the longest time. And on his 40th birthday, he received the car in a completely restored form as a present.


13. 1967 Chevrolet Corvette

The 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is one of the cars that stands out in Rick’s collection. This black and red car was once owned by the music legend Roy Obrinson and is one of the only two Corvettes to come with a 435 motor. What makes it more special is this it is the only one that still has the original engine.

Rick Hendrick bought this classic and exclusive Corvette from Bob and Carol Martin, who had been its faithful guardian for more than a decade. Currently this 67’ Corvette shines as a standout car in Mr. H’s collection.


12. 1963 Chevrolet Corvette

The 1963 Chevy Corvette was Rick Hendrick's first Corvette which he bought back in 1971 as stock. According to Rick, it was the car that he took his wife Linda on their first date which is why this car is among the most cherished ones in his mighty list of Corvettes.

However, many years ago he and his wife sold this black 1963 Corvette along with most of their assets to buy his first Chevrolet dealership, but 15 years later during the early 2000s Rick tracked down the same car and repurchased it.


11. Chevrolet Lumina “Dusty”

The Chevrolet Lumina, affectionately known as “Dusty” holds a special place in Rick Hendrick's heart, alongside the annals of Hendrick Motorsport and NASCAR history. It was the first chassis that was built by Rick's NASCAR team and it boosted their credibility in the chassis-building program.

10. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Nascar Garage 56

 

The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Nascar Garage 56 remains a standout car in Rick Hendrick's mighty garage. It is a spectacular muscle car that left a thunderous impression in its entry at the 2023 24 Hours LeMans.

Although not much is known about when Rick Hendrick bought his 2023 Ferrari SF90, and what he paid for it. It is known that he usually keeps the SF90 next to a row of Corvettes, and as for the price, a new one comes for $528,765.

7. 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray VIN 001

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is Rick’s latest acquisition, which he got his hands on at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in April 2023, from the Barrett-Jackson Auction. As the first-ever Corvette E-Ray, its value shot up at the auction, and the final price halted at a whopping $1.1 million.

3. 2020 Corvette C8

The 2020 Corvette C8 is one of the priciest cars in Rick Hendrick's collection. He bought this red V8-powered monster from the Barrett-Jackson Auction in early 2020, and the price he paid for it was a jaw-dropping $3 million. And numerous other times, the proceedings from this auction were donated to the Detroit Children's Fund.
