Marvel’s Avenger Thor Aka Chris Hemsworth's Splashy Car Collection

Chris Hemsworth has worked with many great actors, mostly due to his role in MCU, like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and others. Aside from acting and portraying his bucket of talent in the film industry, Chris is also known for having a noteworthy collection of cars. His garage boasts a couple of Mercedes-Benz and powerful Audis, and whatnot. Likewise, the famous American car brand Cadillac also occupies two places in his collection Furthermore, he frequently drives cars from Acura, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Moreover, his Land Rover Defender and a RAM pickup can be relied upon in extreme road conditions.

8. 2016 Acura MDX

Chris has lots of SUVs, and when talking specifically about the least expensive, it would be none other than his Acura MDX. He has the 2011 model, which, like most of his cars, is painted black from the outside. A shiny chrome finish across the car, entertaining features, and quick acceleration are things that Acura packs very well at a low price.

The Acura MDX wasn't exactly on Chris' shopping list to be exact but rather came as a gift from the brand. Back in 2011, Hemsworth was gifted the black 2011 Acura MDX before his Marvel feature film “Thor” was released in 2011. In October 2010, the owner of Acura presented the car personally to Chris in regard to their promotional partnership with the film. 

7. 2012 Cadillac SRX Premium

Hemsworth owns a total of two Cadillacs which starts with the SRX model from 2012. The beige-cream SRX has a rightful place among Cadillac’s top sellers and additionally, it's the practicality of the car that led Chris to buy this SUV. 

The cool thing about Chris Hemsworth's car collection is that his choice of cars is not based on a pursuit of collecting marvelous rides but on the efficiency and practicality one can get out of them. Thus, systematically his garage is in a league of its own that only resonates with Hemsworth's venture to reach 100% of usability. 

6. Volkswagen Amarok

As an actor with six-packs and ripped mussels all over his body, Chris Hemsworth loves outdoor activities that include surfing and cycling. To make those journeys more comfortable and reliable, he bought a Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck that makes any road to fun destinations. The black VW truck is reliable and fun to drive which also helps Chris with its handling even when touring long distances in ship carriages.

Including his surfing or cycling day out, Hemsworth also uses his Amarok as a daily driving vehicle especially, when shopping. It was back in October 2022, when the “God of Thunder” was spotted on a weekend with his children at a local Bunnings Warehouse in Byron Bay, picking up home maintenance supplies. He spent a total of $216 to buy those supplies and loaded them up in the backseat before driving away in his black Volkswagen. 

5. Audi Q7

Thor might save the whole earth with his hammer Mjolnir, but when it's time to have good times with family and friends, his Audi Q7 is a good fit. The whole Hemsworth family was spotted in Malibu back in December 2016, as Elsa, Chris, and the two children got out of their grey Q7 and shipped at Point Dume Plaza Shopping Center.

The German car brand has been involved with countless celebrities from actors to footballers and has done several promotional events with them including gifting them a car like when Wayne Rooney received a 2017 Q7 as a part of his partnership deal with Audi. On the contrary, Chris was appointed as the Audi Australia Ambassador back in 2016 and was also part of their advertisement campaign. 

4. 2013 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid 

Cadillac Escalades are known to have a prominent place in every other celeb of the US, and Thor is no exception. He bought the vehicle in 2013, and it is a hybrid model. It is also themed black with a thick layering of chrome accents.

The beastly full-size SUV not only provides excellent comfort with a variety of powertrains available but fulfills Thor's necessity for practicality. The Marvel Avenger was even spotted several times alone at gas stations filling up his black Escalade Hybrid before taking it away for daily driving. 

3. Toyota Land Cruiser

Unlike any other major car brand, his garage also includes a Toyota Land Cruiser. This is the most powerful car that Toyota makes and puts everything into it. Governed by a luxury class, Chris' Land Cruiser does not seek attention, making him and his family invisible even in the midst of crowds and heavy traffic.  

Whether it's a Sunday Funday or a launch gathering with friends, Hemsworth was spotted several times enjoying the ride of his Toyota Land Cruiser. Once was back in January 2024, when Chris and Elsa were spotted in Byron Bay, getting out of the Land Cruiser before meeting Zara and Mike Tindall for lunch.  

2. Land Rover Defender Twisted 

The next one in Chris Hemsworth's car collection is a Land Rover Defender with custom fittings. It is an older model and bolted with strong enhancements across the body, thanks to the exemplary work of Twisted Automobile. The car bears the title of "the most iconic off-roader of all time." It is also wearing an all-black outfit.

Chris is a huge fan of surfing and is often seen in Byron Bay showing off his surfing skills and using the Defender's roof shack to mount his surfboard. Celebrities have always spent considerable money on upgrading their Land Rovers to accommodate the full extent of their off-road capability. Like Hemsworth, the “Need for Speed” actor Aaron Paul also owns a custom Defender that he mostly uses in his hometown.

1. 2021 RAM 1500 TRX

When you have all the fame in the world of entertainment alongside a net worth of $130 million like Chris Hemsworth, clearing up your busy schedule to make time for yourself and your family becomes harder than fighting “Thanos” one-on-one. However, “Thor Odinson” does manage to make occasions for quality time with his wife or children and takes them out on his RAM 1500 TRX for outings in the beautiful Blue Mountains in Australia. 

One of those family times was shared on Hemsworth's official Instagram page back in April 2024 as those pictures and short video showed him and his daughter out camping. The caption in that post added the rest of the picture stating, “Nothing better than a little getaway with one of my besties ❤️”.

1. 2020 Audi R8 V10

The fastest car in Chris' automobile lineup is the Audi R8 V10. It is the second Audi on the list and is traditionally painted black from the outside. Outside of protecting the weak and the earth itself, the Audi R8 is the only common car that "Iron Man" aka Robert Downey Jr.'s car collection and Thor's garage have in common.  However, we have yet to witness Chris using his R8 V10 in public before formally introducing the car to his official car collection list.

2. Mercedes-Benz V250d

When it's time to party in the car, Chris has also made arrangements for the scenario. He steers a Mercedes-Benz V250d. It has a better ride and peppier performance than its rivals. However, the ownership of the car is still unclear due to a lack of proper evidence.

3. 2021 Mercedes-AMG C63 S

According to multiple reports, Chris Hemsworth brings one Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S sedan in his typically SUV-favored collection in a shiny all-black exterior paint theme. However, just like his Mercedes-Benz van, there is not enough probable evidence present to claim those reports.
