8. 1960 Jaguar E-Type

Finally, on his 21st birthday, Mike bought a 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur. It was an extended wheel-base version of the Silver Spirit and boasted more legroom than the Spirit.

Mike was walking around with a ton load of money and the addiction to high-end cars was growing on him exponentially. He owns a total of 4 Rolls-Royces and the second one he bought after a few months of buying the Silver Spur.

Its elongated and swooping front bonnet, the signature front grille, and a prominent side body profile attracted Mike in the first place.

4. 1995 Ferrari 456 GT Spyder

Mike has a couple of Ferraris in his garage but the 456 GT Spyder remains the earliest Ferrari he bought. The car had coupe and convertible versions but you had to pay an extra 50K for the convertible one.

Knowing his nature, Mike wasted no time buying the convertible version of the 456 GT. He bought the black-colored Cabriolet built by Straman which has significance of its own.

3. 1999 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster

Tyson is known for his aggressive boxing in the ring but those imprints passed on to his decision-making capabilities as well. Among his most extravagant purchases was a Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster. This yellow beast marked the beginning of his extravagant car collection, which grew to include Ferraris, Rolls-Royces, and Mercedes-Benz models.

However, Tyson's impulsive decisions and lavish lifestyle eventually led to financial ruin, forcing him to sell many of his prized vehicles during his 2003 bankruptcy. Despite financial setbacks, Tyson's fascination with luxury vehicles remains.

2. 1995 Ferrari F50

Mike Tyson’s love for Ferraris is as bold as his boxing legacy. After regaining his WBC title in 1995 by defeating Frank Bruno, Tyson celebrated with a trip to a Ferrari dealership. There, he splurged on two iconic supercars: a Ferrari F50 and a rare 456 GT Spyder. The latter was especially exclusive, with only two convertibles ever made—one for Tyson and the other for the Sultan of Brunei.

Tyson’s connection with his Ferraris wasn’t without drama. In a memorable incident, he crashed one into a convenience store, turning it into what he jokingly called his “favorite arrest.” Reflecting on the event, Tyson admitted, “I didn’t know how to drive the Ferrari”.

1. 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VTTT

Originally purchased for $85,000, the Mercedes was impounded in 1990 while being driven without proper registration, adding an unusual twist to its history. 

Despite its celebrity connection, the car sold for just $10,600 in a no-reserve auction, marking a modest end for a vehicle with such a storied past. Tyson’s affinity for unique and luxurious rides makes it clear why this rare AMG 500 SL once held a spot in his collection, even if it ultimately became just another chapter in his long list of automotive treasures.

1997 Bentley Continental T

The youngest boxer had a life outside the ring that was as turbulent as his career, which was illustrious. Among the struggles was his battle with bankruptcy, which forced him to part ways with his prized car collection. One standout from that collection, a 1997 Bentley Continental T, offers a glimpse into Tyson’s taste for luxury and power. 

The Bentley had a black-on-red interior with fur accents, reflecting Tyson's larger-than-life persona. Originally delivered to Rolls-Royce New York, the car was sold to Tyson in May 1997 and later restored in the UK. It boasts a black exterior and black-on-red interior, complete with fur accents, mirroring the flamboyance of “The Baddest Man on the Planet”.

1997 Jaguar XJ220

After his infamous 1997 match with Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson turned his attention to a truly distinctive ride: the Jaguar XJ220. Unlike the usual choices of a Bugatti or McLaren, Tyson opted for this sleek 90s supercar. Though Tyson's financial struggles led him to sell many of his prized cars in 2003, the Jaguar XJ220 remained one of the most memorable. 

With its plush leather interior, high-tech dashboard, and jaw-dropping performance, it perfectly suited the Iron Mike persona. A rare piece of automotive history, the XJ220 fetched over $1.2 million at auction, a testament to its exclusivity and Tyson's taste for the best.
