Manuel Antonio Rodolfo Quinn Oaxaca or professionally, Anthony Quinn, was born on 21 April 1915 in Chihuahua, Mexico. Before rising to fame as a prominent movie artist, Quinn earned his livelihood as a professional boxer and ended up studying architecture and art under Frank Lloyd Wright. In the late 30s, Quinn finally delved into acting and went on to have a colorful and glamorous career as we know it today. Courtesy of his long career, he accumulated a vast wealth of approximately $20 million when he passed away back in 2001 at the age of 86. Unlike several movie stars, he kept rather quiet about the cars he loved and owned but his 1976 Jaguar XJS came out into the limelight eventually. 


2. 1976 Jaguar XJS

The 1976 Jaguar XJS owned by Anthony Quinn is as iconic as the actor himself. Finished in a white theme on the outside, the XJS has matte black rear-end finished in contrast with the exterior paint along with bullet-shaped side mirrors finished in chrome and a distinctive set of “Kent” wheels.

While the car was offered in two powertrain options, Quinn got himself the more powerful one carrying the V12. The XJS successfully carried on the legacy of the legendary Type-E, especially with that chunky motor under its hood. At the time of purchase, the 1976 Jaguar XJS had approximately cost Quinn around $34,700.

Powering the XJS was a big 5.3-liter V12 motor that pushed out 273 horses along with 297 lb-ft of torque. The motor was married to a 3-speed automatic transmission from ZF. With this combo, the powertrain propelled the car to 60mph from a standstill in under 8.1 seconds, and let the car achieve a top speed of 148 miles per hour as well.

1. 1962 Maserati 3500 GT

The Maserati 3500 GT is an iconic grand tourer that was produced in limited numbers. The 1962 Maserati 3500 GT owned by Anthony Quinn was previously owned by Eddie Fisher.

Reportedly, Fisher ordered the car brand new for gifting to Elizabeth Taylor. Later, Quinn bought it in pristine condition. The car retailed for about $10,500 in brand-new condition and offered a strong performance along with a stylish exterior design.

Apart from the two gorgeous cars, Anthony Quinn also had a dirt-bike-like 1971 Triumph Daytona too. He was seen riding his motorcycle often and was clicked once while he took Ann Margret for a joyride on a movie set as well. The 1971 Triumph Daytona was a popular cruiser naked motorcycle and was powered by the brand’s staple parallel twin motor with a displacement of 500cc. It pushed out around 41 horses and had a 4-speed manual transmission that drove the rear wheel with a chain final drive.
